The city of Gross Profit which I stole from you was a case of opportunism with my settler intended for the crabs site further west, and then diverted east when I saw that left un-claimed for so long. If your axe defender had been a spear you would have been fine and would not have contested. Knowing that you were going to be calling eventually with Cataphracts I stole the site as more of a "lightning rod" fortress to buy time to scramble defenses in the core, as well as throwing a wrench in what I could already see was a strongly developing economy headed for Guilds. I will apologize for the name which although legitimately on my naming scheme list (and meant in the accounting/business sense for evaluating and comparing different alternatives), was yet in poor taste.

I meant the wheat at his city of citadel where I could join my stacks on the same turn and wouldn't have a lot of turns moving through his territory. So ya sounds like we had some confusion there, as I was super confused why you moved units to that hill.

twas a good game. that city was the lightning rod, but also could have pushed me elsewhere had you not taken it. I saw the land between us as barren

So I somewhat get this. I've been there. Hell the last turn of the game I went Leeroy Jenkins because why not at that point.
My question is when Cornflakes took that city why build chariots at all? You had cultural control and could have gotten to cats to pretty much guarantee take it back that way.

In the two early wars where I sniped cities from SAC I was confused by your signaling. Before the first snipe you were sending me "War vs. Sucksatciv" messages nearly every turn, yet your power graph was flat. I built and staged axes in anticipation of you actually going to war (may not have done that without your prodding!). I waited a couple extra turns but ultimately decided to just pull the trigger and snipe the city. Then I tried signaling to you that there was another opportunity to double-team him when the 10T peace expired, and you again signaled back the "War vs. Sucksatciv" multiple times but never built the army!

I get not being prepared for the first war since you were still settling land and I had to pull the trigger on the opportunity, but the second war follow-up 10T later ... I don't see any details of that T78 timeframe in your thread, but I was expecting the 10-turn enforce peace combined with the multiple mirrored-back war messages would have prompted you to build military. If you had actually built a few more axes I would have stayed at war until you captured the gold city in order to leave SAC as a crippled rump state for eventual conquering. With with your power solidly last in the world I just took the quick city snipe and let SAC evacuate those archers with the peace treaty giving him time to set up a solid defensive line for the future.

At this point in time, i cannot recall. i THINK i had a small stack ready to at least grab a city off of him, but i also didnt expect him to basically collapse to anything thrown at him.
