[PB69] Bing admires the auspicious number of smoothness and longevity

Civac told me not to run science yet with a bunch of libraries still building, also Monarchy can be got first. So Monarchy should come through on turn 114. 36 gpt now

That's one of the benefits of running binary science; save gold while building science multipliers, then get better reward on the burn phase.

Sounds like civac hasn't managed to crash your economy yet?

Bing has a FIN civ with rivers and no less than 3 precious metals. Even I couldn't manage that.

Quite the opposite. The economy would be in better shape if I were in charge. Since I'm cognizant of ancient and secret Civ wisdom like that river grassland cottages are good. And that if the game asks you 'Do you want to induce revolutionary rage in your cities? Oh and you(r population) may die.' it is beneficial to click on the 'No, I'm good.' option.

In my first game I also crashed my economy with a FIN civ (and a little help from Mjmd wink ). It was a good learning experience.
Past Games: PB51  -  PB55  -  PB56  -  PB58 (Tarkeel's game)  - PB59  -  PB60  -  PB64  -  PB66  -  PB68 (Miguelito's game)     Current Games: None (for now...)

HEH mig helped too!

There are certainly different thoughts on how much to crash your economy. Its probably more map and neighbor dependent then anything.

TURN 108 MONARCHY
net income: 44
Monarchy: just researched, and adopted after these screenshots! After fifteen long painful turn of event unhappiness
Each of the four largest cities had one red face, except for Changyon which had two.
I didn't take the opportunity to adopt Serfdom as +9 income seemed less important than the military reassurance of Slavery. Might be able to rushbuild some markets in the not so distant future too, so it isn't a completely straightforward income loss. Will get archery first though to use them as garrisons while moving interior axemen to borders.
Tongchon saw Commodore's culture expand into the directly adjacent clam tile. On that turn I switched to monument, then next turn whipped it, then this turn it granted +1 culture - and we're back up to 18%, from 10% the previous turn. Does that mean he has a library? How long will a monument take to overpower that?
