I am starting to think "don't take the second half of the timer against someone who typically plays late" should become a part of pitboss etiquette...

In fairness, another way of looking at this is that someone shouldn't be allowed to just automatically get second constantly, just because they're slow to play (this isn't sequential, and second has real advantages). The first rule of the etiquette thread is that people should play promptly, isn't it?

I'm not playing and I'll now try to stay out of it, but I think that's worth bringing up at least. I don't think MS has done anything wrong.

Turn 131: I happen to play second.
Turn 132: I happen to play second.
Turn 133: I declare war, so I am forced to wait and play second again.

Was I supposed to play stupid clock games and plot the timing of my turns and play windows versus theirs for days in advance? Was I just supposed to double-move them into war?
I'm not happy about being in the second half either.

For a bit of clarification: I had an extremely busy stretch last week, and was exhausted for days after (leading to me still not having finished a post mortem for pb68 among others) . During that time we had a misunderstanding with Ginger where I thought he'd play, and we missed the turn, and yes that sucks.
I have returned to playing regularly, but regularly in my case means one window every day, which is on Europe evenings, often after 10pm. If the turn roll is such that after this windows there are only few hours left I think it can be fixed with a one time extension (or, if it's always MS who rolls, they may just need an extension here and there when they can't play as early as the day before).
As I understand it, sometime during the Easter holidays Ginger will literally descend back from the mountaintop, and be able to play reliably again. But I have no issues playing the turns.
