I don't know if you actually want a random natural map. The joy of these things is making silk purses from the very ugliest of sow's ears. The fun is optimizing a pair of cities with a shared plains hill sheep as their only food. Maybe others agree but I think most of us signed up for something like 64/69, which are blasts to play.
Thanks for my sow ear, Queeg.

Well, do you want a new mapmaker, a new player, or a new map for six players?

You are assuming that there is even a plains hill sheep to use, Com. I am not convinced that this map even reaches the lofty heights of the PB69 map for terrain quality.
To be candid: I do want to play in this game, and I do not want to be replaced.

Krill, what's the largest size barren area you will accept? If we ask people to throw a food tile into any barren swath greater than 8x8 (or some other metric), would that be a decent fix? Or do you just need assurances any barren areas aren't of certain size?
At first I was going to say a bonus food in any 5x5 (excluding peaks and oceans), but PB69 wouldn't pass that.
Q, would you be able to answer:
1) Is the map more/less/about as lush as PB69?
2) Are the barren areas larger/smaller/about the same size as PB69?

I think it's broadly quite similar in these respects to PB69, but I would welcome differing opinions from others.

Its probably a bit more barren or at least has more barren stretches. The modified script produces green more places but also some desert. Honestly it looks like totestra (as far as looking natural) without horrible neighbor balance and spacing that script has (which is why most scripts are bad fyi).
It's very possible instead of a mod for random games we need a map script for. I know torusland was designed for that purpose but some people (somewhat umderstandable) dont like toriod.

OR we could all just play on an Earth map..
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Probably a bit more barren, though I'm not super familiar with the PB69 map. The other map I was weighing up was a bit lusher and more interesting but had people closer together.

Didn't you restart your last (modified) Earth map?
I have to say, Tectonics randomised actual earth is one of my favorite single player experiences.
