You complain when you don't have hills; you complain when you have hills. Some people may think people just like complaining about maps.

No. But cant be too far from it unless the map is VERY un-realistic.

When i dont have hills, i can only whip. Only slow build.
Trying to play Goldylocks.. i need a happy medium.
I mean, i DO like complaining about maps.. But here i have enough forests and Juuuust enough food to work some hills if i wanted to. Other PB's? Not so much. Limiting options kills my enjoyment. A better player could probably turn my land into something worth a shit, but im going to chop a stack of keshiks and kill as many players as i can. If everyones land is as bad as mine is, i should be able to kill 2? players before enough of them build enough spears to give me pause. However, c1Shock keshiks will still do a "decent" job vs cities..

Even if he doesnt have another food in the fog of his capital... this is beautiful land. IT will be mine.

Well my only real hope of taking his capital was to win that fight OR severally damage the archer. LOVE when i dont even get a hit in, even with first strikes cancelling each other out. Fucking lovely.
State of everything.

How did it come to that?
(If your only chance is to win a sub-20% fight, then something else has failed first.)

I moved units to attack his capital. The next turn he moved a bunch of chariots, axes, and spears into the capital plus i think a whipped archer? it went from "wow, thats an ez victory" to... "wow, if i dont win this first fight i guess i go murder everything else and starve him out"
And ive found his copper, and i SHOULD be able to pillage it.

I meant more along the lines of "Why did you attack, and why was it Yuri?" Your last update was 50 odd turns ago on T27, and the next one was when the attack already had failed.
