[spoiler] Q Returns to Quest Once More

He jumped in.

I'm four cities down, and at least one more will fall next turn. He used combat workers in the east to push faster than I expected possible, a sneaky scout to take a empty city, and a larger stack in the west to sucker punch Shaw. Retreating back to the capital, abandoning a indefensible city (pillaging a road), but ultimately I'm likely in my last five turns. Wiped out his western stack with tigers and will use their promotions in a quixotic attempt against Mig next turn.

It's hard to see how much I could have done differently. Perhaps the Treeant rush just took away my only real defence against this sort of attack? I definitely could have fielded a few more PotL, but my empire's too wide to hold against this. Definitely Brian's cities have helped Auro pull together his commanding lead.

Ah well, rip? It was a good run, but between the rush failing and your best counterweights stalling dead in the water, you were always gonna be at a huge disadvantage in this knife fight going forward. The only thing left to do is reunite the elven peoples and finish what you started on the Malakim, imo

Yeah, I pushed my stack one tile too far so wasn't able to punish Mig last turn. But I might be able to wipe them out this turn!

Mig retreated. I got unlucky with tigers - losing a half dozen 20% attacks - and couldn't attack and retreat units, so he escapes. Very discouraging.

Auro is moving up. I was playing some single player Svartalfar over the weekend which made me realise I need to be cautious re him stealing my tigers. Still, he should easily take my capital, the question is if I can counter strike and do any damage.

I am going to run a settler into Bing territory and see if I can survive long enough to found a city up there. Unlikely, but it's that or deleting, and I've never liked that as a practice. Should have started this several turns ago, but I held onto hope of resettling Donald.

Took a 8% shot on his Satyr with a mobility-trick warrior, but lost, sadly. That means we're toast.

Except!

Viva la colony! Auro missed eliminating me by exactly one turn lol

Now, Bing might kill me, or leave his borders open. And it's not like it matters for anything besides motherland happiness. But still! We live!

In all seriousness, could a lurker ask the rest of the field if they're ready to concede? Mig got Bone Palace, but it's not even close and I'm pretty sure everyone realises that.

Auro razed Mig's capital...I warned you! lol

He used his worldspell to do it, so probably a fun move that one. I don't believe he's in CoE, so can't use it to full effect. But oh well.

Wonder if he'll take Bing's for the trifectra. To be fair, I never had a road connection to Bing so might be challenging. But I doubt Bing is ready for 8-10 move units.

Mig lost another two cities. Bing continues to do nothing. Still no PoW. He hasn't even closed borders - Auro was able to send some stray units at me.

Are we trying to make him win by Conquest?

Mig lost another two cities. He also lost Bambur a turn ago - I believe he's down to just the barb city in the North.

Might outlast him? But Auro is back with another stack.
