I was a bit careless in my movements.
I moved a axe without offensive thoughts to aetryns border in the north and had only 1 axemen in the bordercity.
I did tried to deescalate and removed my axe, but aetryn declared even then.
I think he deleted his 2nd axe ?
Aetryn did tried to get peace, but no.
I have praets, my Iron is connected in 3 turns. He can have his war. I still think that Prudence is maybe a bit offensive, but okay. I did tried something, but I diddn't declare war. I can't let this slide and I think, I will drag us both down. ANd I have praets, there are even skirmishers not very good.
I have 2 axemen in the northern pass, I'm not sure if I want to push. I'm a bit vary about chariots. I think, I will try to block the foresthill. - I have horses and built already a cottage on the horses. I will update that after I connect the iron.
The eastern axemen should block an unscorted settler.
So he could provide a distraction. Here I dont think that I will push further.
I whipped 2 axemen and I'm building 2 baracks.
I did tried to get peace without further bloodsheet.
Um.. How in the sam hell did you lose a city??????????????????
I mean, at this point practically HAVE TO go full praets and hope to win the hammer exchange. Goodluck lol.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

I see the research of Aetryn. I'm a put suprised he didn't counter my investment. We our borders are next to each other and I was (am) aggresive.
I have a settler in this pass postion, if we make peace, i will settle here - maybe even one or two tiles further north.
I made a mistake last turn, I forgot to pillage the street nordwest/nordwest of Prudence.
I have only 2 axe and a warrior next to the city this turn instead of 4 axemen. - I expecte him to whip axemen this turn, so I'm not sure If this would be enough, but 2 axemen aren't enough.
Prudence has 2 skirmisher and 1 spear in the moment,
Patience 2 warrior, 1 axemen and 1 settler.

Turn74:
Aetryn managed to get 2 axemen in Prudence, I moved a step further, I risked a few fights aganst single axemen, but i had combat 1, so ~66% winchance for the axe.
But I proposed peace.
Turn 75
Aetryn send me peace back.
During his turn, he killed one of my axemen
You can open F5 in a diplo screen.
I had 5 axemen around Prudence and a sixth in the East.
But I wanted to accepted the deal.
Aetryn moved a setller in the valley. I can't block the pass complete, but I can settle before Aetryn and deny Aetryn a proper connection to the valley.
But I made the mistake to click ESC one time to much and I declined the diplo screen.
I want to ask to a reload of my login, that I can accept to peace.
I moved no unit, my only action after I realized, i decline the peace: I opend the log.
Reason: If I settle this turn and we don't have peace, i'm not sure that my city remains save.
And If I don't settler, Aetryn can settler before I can, which would give him more or less uncontested acces to the valley west of his starting position (ony one pass to the west and he can block the pass with a second city.
I'm have not lost, but I'm not sure if I can contest Aetryn any more - I'm already not sure, if I can, but I have hope.
I remember: If the lurker will decide for the reload, there is a solution without a reload: Aetryn has to accept the peace. A bit of a disadvantage for me, but not the biggest problem that I lose a turn for most of my units.

Aetryn axe won his fight without a scratch
Hey, you are getting my luck!

FWIW I said yes in the public thread, but for future reference I think this is a really soft reload, and I think in a larger or non-greens game folks would be mildly annoyed by something like this as I'm not convinced the impact was that big here. I think in the context of this game it's fine, but I recommend just all-around being more careful if possible.
Yes, I think I have to be more carefully. The Diploscreens in MP is not very good. But I think the impact isn't so small ?
Aetryn decided to attack my units before he send the peace reply again, so I can't trust him to agree to peace if I have a city in range of his warrior. And if I don't get the city, aetryn gets the valley and has no enemy to really contest the valley. I think, this area would allow Aetryn to settle a few more cities towards his enemys and that a few good cities in his backline.
My moral isn't very great at the moment - I will play till the bitter end - and without this city I see not many chances for me to "win" a second war. And I see no chance to catch up because I have at least 2 cities less.
Maybe I'm a bit negative, but I see me already as first to die and if not, that only because I have to many sharp sticks to attack without huge cost. I had this in my last PB and this wasn't fun. So I have a few more options.
My new city is in danger from Aetryn, yes, but I can block his access to the valley in the first war turn (he can built ships, but this has a few problems), I can threaten Patience and I can block the Patience/Prudence road.
If there would be a mali city ? I still have to defend a second flank, but I don't get the possible offensive actions.
White is a maybe. I have no rush to settle here, nobody should be able to be faster
yellow should be a priority, Bing or Greenline could block this city with a own - I don't know if this spot is already blocked
entrance in the valley
Aetryn retreated his settler, I had a doppelmove towars him in turn 77 and found no settler on the tundrahill.
Greenline founde a city on the grey spot.
White is a maybe, this city has no own food.
blue has a bit of priority, if I get that spot, I should be able to secure the valley.
southern part of the valley.
4 okay cities.
the northern part
The city east of the wild is maybe a bit difficult to see.
Aetryn can maybe settle via ship, I think the sea should connect to the capital of mali.
north of the eastern crab should be a mountain.
My plan in the east. I think, I could plan a row furthe reast, but I'm not sure where Bing is in the moment.
I shouldn't be in a hurry to settle this, maybe green as fourth city ? Yellow west, blue valley, blcok city further north, green ?
Blue is a bit exposed, so a maybe.
Here I think about a city north of the fish.
And a maybe city north of the gold.
Demo is not good, but I hope that Aetryn is the second one with a GNP of 23. ANd he has Stonehenge, so is GNP should be a bit lower than mine.
Food is terrible, but I have a few foodressources without a farm/pasture. so a bit place to bee better. Still, 20 food less is terrible.
