Seems like kind of a dumb reload IMO but given low visibility on this game + greens game, seemed even worse to drag it out longer.

I agree with you. The reload was acceptable but unnecessary.

Seriously though, why is civac sharking this game? It's honestly a bit ridiculous. I can't be the only one who thinks this is dumb, right? Bing himself is sort of borderline to even be in this, but civac is clearly heavily involved in this and looks like he's just going to lap the field.

Edit: I feel strongly enough about this that I wonder if we should ask civac to step back from this game and make Bing play it solo. Or at least step back to adviser in the way other players have rather than outright turn players. Is that an unreasonable idea? Would hate to see the game ruined for the greener players here.

Bing is not a green player but he is a green-level player, so he should be fine in this game.

But two teams have noted how very well Bing's AGG/CRE Aztecs are already doing. So either he finally improved at the worst possible time to be too strong for this game, or Civac is boosting him.
It warrants a poke of Civac, sure.

Calling Bing borderline is probably unfair yeah, but I think the issue here is that civac is serving as a teammate and co-player rather than a strategic advisor, which is what the other 3 players have as their ded-lurkers. I'm not quite sure how to phrase that as I'd hate to intervene in a way that causes a bigger issue, but a gentle prodding for civac to be like 40% less involved might be good?

This is a green game for green players only.

Civac is not green.

So he should just be a ded-lurker and not a player or co-player or teammate. The other more experienced players who are involved are clearly doing this. But it seems to us like Civac is more than a dedlurker because he is logging in so much and Bing is doing so well.

So please reduce involvement to just a dedlurker so the greens can fight it out amongst themselves in their greens-only game.

I want to be careful about not overstepping here, so how's this for a proposed message in Bing's thread.

Hey, there's been a little bit of concern over civac taking a very active role in this game given that this game is meant for greens. The other ded-lurkers in this game have been just ded-lurkers - advisors to help make decisions. There's an impression that civac is playing more as a teammate/co-player instead which is a bit tough for greens to keep up with. Is it possible to tone back his hands-on involvement a notch while still participating as an advisor? It's possible this impression is wrong, and if so definitely let me know.

Does that seem like a reasonable message? I'm not going to post it unless there's serious concurrence and no objections at all, so please do speak up with either one. Other players have remarked about it, but none have loudly complained yet, so that's why I'm hesitant to do this without strong consensus. Hard to know whether to leave it up to players to actively protest versus them not realizing they have the option to make a fuss about it.

Versailles getting built for the first (?) time in an RB game during a Greens game would be beautiful.
