Krill's opting to "just win this" with a Superdeath invasion.
All I really want is the silver/copper/corn city.
As you can see, Thoth is going to take a stab at winning too. MoM golden age, I really hope he goes for Taoism and not Islam...
Taoism is the religion of miracles, anyway:

Actually, most crucially with events on, that's a silver/copper/corn/city ruins site. Baiting out the "lost technology found in ruins" event is pretty important.

Is that 1N of the copper for the site?

Been a while since I've posted the demos, they're actually surprisingly okay:
Going to see a nice uptick in the MFG as I finish more Taoist AP buildings. Next big tech push is going to be for Feudalism (longbows), then the long line to Guilds while working on a Divine Right prophet. SM/UoS are both open so far, just need to figure out how to beat Thoth and Krill there. Krill's clear top dog, but as #3 I think I can work with Pin and Thoth on this.

Welp, I was slow and Krill claimed the all-important ruins:
Settling off the coast is interesting, means he's conceding the seas to the Charismatic leader, makes sense. Makes it harder to find dogpile levers, though, so cleverly done. I might see about making a "Fort Silver" base down in the lower ice anyway, but for now my new missionary/settler will go to the spices/ivory filler location.

And then there were ten little cities, all neat and square...

Thanks for posting your take on the strategic/geopolitical situation so consistently; it's been really enlightening! Also, sorry it took me so long to respond to this one:

No, W3 is restricted to Melee and Gunpowder units, even though W1 and W2 are available to Recon too. What I've heard is that it was excluded because Recon units can't attack and therefore are forbidden promotions that carry an attack-only bonus (W3 gives a forest-attack bonus as well as healing and first strikes) even though the promotion comes with other benefits too.

Crushingly disappointing, but I'll survive.
Anyone have any questions? I realize it's a pretty slow and low-key game, but there's still some play here despite Krill's top dog status.

The tech pace seems really slow, even for One Of These games. How do you see that affecting this game going forward?
