[Spoilers] luddite tries to remember how this game works

Also, real talk: when you stay up all literally all night drinking champagne, like I did last night, it kind of hinders your ability to play a turn like this  lol.

Applause for finding time and means to report under those circumstancesbow

How many warriors is that in the capital? And how long until you can whip that second anti-tank?

4 warriors right now in the capital. It'll be... a while to make a second one. I need to regrow, and I don't have a granary yet so that's slow. Maybe 10 turns or so. I guess I don't have to worry about whip unhappiness at least.

One big problem right now is that I don't have much of a clue what Mr Cairo is actually doing. I was expecting more musketeers to quickly follow up and kill me, but so far there's no sign of that, and his power graph hasn't increased much. He's also still at only 3 cities. No wonder build (so far the only wonder is Scooter with the Great Lighthouse).

Maybe he's waiting for all 3 of his cities to simultaneously build a musketeer? That would probably kill me.

He attacked my capital, killing two warriors. But I got a bit lucky with the dice rolls and did some decent damage, taking one musketeer to 7.9 and the other to 5.8.

There might be some opportunity here. the vokda tool from Ram's site tells me that a swarm of warriors has good odds against wounded musketeers like that.

Here's the situation after playing my own turn. I had to move the AT back into the capital to protect it. so much back and forth. And I'm (yet again) leaving a worker undefended, which feels so strange.

Also gotta say I'm not... really appreciating the way he renamed the musketeers. Trust me, Mr Cairo, whenever you come back to read this: I am more than enough frustrated by this situation without any added aggravation  lol

The workers aren't really undefended - they're covered by zone defense from the anti-tank. If a musketeer takes one, it exposes itself for the AT to swing back and kill.

The maneuvering here is fascinating to watch popcorn

Thanks T-hawk. And yeah, that's true, there's an implied threat that protects the workers. But still it feels very odd to just let them sit there alone.

This turn he moved away. I might be able to hit him next turn if he stays there, but he'll probably pull back again. I think I need to shift gears from defense into trying to grow my economy a bit.

Well defended! It looks like it was a laming attack or that it turned into that by your vigorous defence. When you get an AT + a bit else in the border cities you will be quite secure.

Rebuilding: Dulle Griet should be refounded as soon as you can defend it. You might also want a lightning rod city north of the capital. It can work cow, spice and wine so it is not useless.

Monarchy might be a great tech here since you have wine, warriors and whip unhappy.
