Caster of Magic II Bug Reports!

None of the players in the save file are summoning Torin in the posted save file. I passed the turn like 10 times just in case but they didn't start casting Incarnation. Please post a save file where one of the AI wizards is already casting Incarnation, and ideally one where the hero disappears after the spell is completed.

In the attached game, Merlin is in the process of casting Incarnation. Merlin's list of heroes is unchanged after the casting.

(Yes, it is the same game as the plague thing)

Confirmed.

The game was checking for the human player already having the Chosen hero instead of the casting wizard as the spell's fail condition.
It'll be fixed in the next update.

Casting the "Pestilence" city spell, there is no graphical effect. Is that on purpose?

All the other city spells create some kind of building, or sky change, or icon on the wall.

I tried to cast resist element on my hero and got an error message saying "this spell does not affects heroes"

Yes, it has been like that in the original game. Whether it was intentional back then or they wanted to cut costs, I have no idea.

The code for checking the Nonhero flag seems to be correct, please check your Spells.INI and refresh your spells.dat file.

attack the werewolves stack with the ranger and try to cast resist element on the ranger.

no modes or changes were used except to set window size.

it's the last version from GOG, the way I start the game, open GOG. go to master of Magic classic game, click on the second button to the right of "Play", Additional executables-> Quick Start (Caster of magic for win)

I was able to use Marcus to cast Resist Elements on himself in that save file. It also worked in the GoG version.

Try deleting your spells.dat file to refresh it, it might have corrupted data for that spell.

I assume that it would be fairly easy to downscale a PD image of a rat, and use that as a wall icon (like prosperity), if you wanted to add it.
