Thread -- more thoughts later.
Has anyone gotten civ 4 to work well on linux? I can never get it to work... Proton on steam, or GoG version, same crap.

Yeah, I'll take Nebu of France, why not.

Borsche used phi/ind to pretty serious effect in our game on BadGame a while ago that I posted about here

Yes! I asked for help with this when I switched over to linux, and Ramkhamhaeng was incredibly helpful. My question and the results are posted here. I should note that I subsequently got ctrl-click and alt-click to work properly too, by turning off the settings that caused the ctrl key to highlight the mouse cursor location and changing the option to move a window from [alt]-drag to [super]-drag.

Thanks. Dry rice, wet rice, elephants, and a cow. Pretty hammer heavy start, good for wonders, good for imp. Maybe I'll think a bit more about my pick. Neb is p good tho.

Locking in Neb of France. I think wheel/ag early is perfect here, grab a quick hunting in the meanwhile, into AH. Skip fishing, go mining and BW.

was about to log in , but it seems like this is one of those games that might crash and burn on the "we screwed up the settings" stage...

PWD is Nebu.

Started hunting as planned, the early micro here is obvious. Sent scout south, nothing to find there, but a decent peninsula, perhaps for a second city. Also a 1t isle with cow on it.
