Well, he didn't attack, including no use of surprise double roading ))) In fact he moved the cataphracts away????
One of them was even named "it begins". wtf? Is he trying to wear me down IRL with anxiety? That's so creeeepy.

BTW, I just remembered the time early in PB70 when charriu got a reload because his sub left a worker exposed and I stole it with a skirm. I think that if I'd actually lost the town to double road Kataphract attack because of not moving the catapults in, I would have entered full soy rage mode and written some kind of essay. LOL. But I only have myself to blame for not reading the forum enough to properly understand how things are done here.

Anyway, I think the only logical course is for Greenline to attack me. Hurting xist would be easier, but doesn't take a serious rival down and might even allow me and aetryn to vulture. His border with aetryn appears to be a gigantic mountain range. This border region is kinda annoyingly placed, compared to expanding into me.

Is the map a bit chokepointy because of a suggestion i once made? I don't dislike it. Anyway, I think attacking me is still the only logical choice, so I have to assume that greenline just wants to round out his forces with units to siege wall defences and counter pikes (xbows). And he surely does have the ongoing mobilisation advantage with Police State 2whipping of cataphracts, but at least i have Sacrificial Altars and the Aggressive trait.

Another interesting thing is that I lost the nominal citycount advantage, since everyone has 15 cities except for xist who has 14. I still have a settling advantage from having settled them earlier though.
I also recently built Statue of Zeus, Chichen Itza, and Parthenon, which I suppose don't quite match up to Pyramids. And I am in the middle of a 12-turn GA thanks to Maussolos.

Not sure why my score is 270 better than greenline's, maybe because he whipped a bunch of kataphracts, but I've been whipping too.

well it's only 200 scorelead now as I did some panic whipping; a thought occurred to me about the cataphracts.

They could be doing this:

Oh, also I have a turnsplit question. Should I deliberately play after Greenline while expecting an imminent attack as that's the current peacetime turnsplit?

Or should I just play at any time?

It's not your responsibility to avoid a double move in this scenario, if that's what you're asking. Do what you want, it's the job of the one declaring war to avoid this.

I want to organise some kind of invasion of these two romans cities now. a few xbows, warele and cata could do it

Xist offered me this, but city trading is not allowed outside of 1 per peace deal, right?

I guess it WOULDN'T violate the rules for me to offer him 500g for free, then declare war the next turn and demand 60 gpt and Velitrae, hoping for a kind response ))))

Actually this exposes him strategically. I don't think he had a border with Aetryn before, now he very much does and Aetryn doesn't have a border with me. So Greenline is the only person Aetryn can attack in future. Greenline is also the only person I can attack in future.

The voting spreadsheet apparently says "1 per deal" not "1 per peace deal" FWIW.
