Corp changes definitely necessary, having played in lategame big empires before. They silly. Would keep 5.0.

Sounds like this could get interesting.  At least no one's popped 3 huts yet. lol

Perhaps we should bring the preferred mod version to a player vote?  I'd likely abstain because I can see both arguments: the verified support of the Corporation changes vs. the unverified status of the new mod.

The changes made were relatively minor so I wouldn't worry about any of those causing problems.

Also, not to speak for Charriu, but if something went wrong with a change he made he seems like the type of person who would fix it.

Going by the GitHub changelog, changes are:
Reduce corp HQ gold to 3
Switch cargo between sub and attack sub
Move Cristo Redentor to Mass Media
Return American UU to navy seal.

I don't think any of these impacts picking, and they should improve the modern game.

Yes, you can log in and claim, but the mod being used might be changed.

I doubt Charriu intended the new mod never be used for fear something was broken. And again, due to nature of changes I doubt anything got broken from that. If anything is broken its most likely from changes done a long time ago and we just have discovered. Like the Carrier bug from base BTS we discovered in PB66 and the road bombing bug also discovered in that game, but introduced in a much earlier version of CtH.

Someone just load up a game and test the above changes real fast. I can tonight, but seems like some easy tests.

Yeah, I was probably putting on my risk aversion hat from work there. If it makes late game better then I think it will be better to use the newer mod, especially for a game of this size.
