(extended it as t0/t1 was a bit wonky, and wanted to make sure MS and Amica could get to the turn) Extended it just enough that i can get to it in the morning if im sent a message.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Hey, I'm going to play my turn soon when I get home from work. I would just like to reiterate my preference that timer extensions not be granted unless someone asks for it (but will bow to the majority opinion, of course). Thanks also, Superdeath.

I concur, extensions should be requested.

OK, now we are underway - and before we start to meet each other - can someone please update me on the current interpretation of "True AI Diplo" as voted and agreed? Does it mean any trade offers are allowable, but we can't use any text in the trade windows, or can we use the list of canned AI phrases such as "Don't settle so close" or "The treacherous Cattle Ranchers must be destroyed"?

Yeah, no written messages, but messaging with trades is okay. The setting also enables "War with X" and "Stop trading with X" messages.

Its just the options on the trade screen, no text. Some common options are
Fish for fish = 10T peace
Iron for Iron (or horse / copper depending) usually means help in war. You can use gold to indicate time period for attack
And beyond that you can certainly be creative, but usually it just leads to funny confusion, which mind you is worth something. I know a lot of complicated diplo was tried in PB66 and I'm pretty sure 0 of them were correctly interpreted.

OK, so pretty much where it was last time I played. Thanks both for clarifying.

Main difference is that the "True AI-diplo" option allows you to send "go to war", "stop trading" and "adopt" messages directly, which makes it much easier to communicate what you want.

Apologies for the double double-turn. I've been travelling and it's been hard to play consistently this week. Shouldn't become a trend.
