If you look at the policies the republican party pushed through in 2017-2018 when they had complete power, basically nothing can be construed as positive for the everyday man. Trump himself pushed for those laws so he's in league with the republican party whose platform of "give everything to the elites and F the poor" is blatantly clear. Yet people still think Trump and/or the republican party is on their side. The only relief I have is that I don't live in the US so I don't have to vote for that awful democratic party to stop those madmen.
I don't recall much data being thrown around in either direction. Certainly I was not calling it fabricated, for that is not something I find myself in the mood to do.
Trump did push through tax cuts with his party, which Capital and big corporations would benefit from. But he also pushed in tariffs and barriers to trade with China, which Capital and corporations did not like at all. By 2020 the corporate side had switched to being in favor of Biden's campaign.
My experience with working men and women in the present day is that their situation is much worse than it was under Trump. Some of that is due to COVID, but a lot more is due to the government response to COVID and then the present problem of inflation.

I did. France under the Jacobins.

I would not classify revolutionary France as a democracy. Not only did power not transfer, but anyone who didn't agree was due for being shortened. The French revolution shows how messy and hard setting up a democracy can be. Its not only about throwing out the prior oppressors it is about setting up checks to make sure it doesn't happen again. Again, how many people have fought for a Democracy and then it failed. We shouldn't throw ours away so easily.

Bad example, not because it's false but because a situation that lasted for such a short period of time and in such dire times is a bad example. Either it would have turned into some kind of autocracy (as France did under Napoleon) or it would have turned into a non totalitarian democracy.

If you want to define "democracy" to only include democracies without any inconvenient messy stuff going on, then sure, there are no totalitarian democracies. This means that America is also not a democracy, because it already did a bunch of messy imprisoning of dissidents and nasty stuff during the world wars.

No my definition is that you can vote to change power. If you disagree with Jaobins or even within the Jocobins you were probably dead. Part of that whole set up is they weren't willing to accept a party who thought differently than them. May I remind you that Republican took the house 1 year ago.....

It actually depends on which year (or even which month) we're talking about. It probably counts as a democracy for some of that time.

That is the madness and miracle of democracies. "Heh this other party we hate / at the very least strongly disagree with won an election. They are probably going to do things we disagree with? Ya we are just turning over power to them." Once you stop doing that, that is when its over.

You arent seriously defending Saddam Hussein right? Even the false pretense can be forgiven when you take down people like that.
Then go in and claim yourself to be the savior angel, no need to lie. But old habits are hard to break. I understand
Nice try, NOT! Stop twisting words. This isn't about Saddam. This is WTF are you to police world affairs. What if Russia has decided Zelensky is the evil man and took upon itself to invade Ukraine, and be the judge, jury and hangman.
George Floyd and Black Lives Matter (2020) Protests erupted across the United States and around the world following the death of George Floyd, a Black man who was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis. The protests were some of the largest in US history, with an estimated 15 million to 26 million people participating.
You are seriously saying George Floyd should die by police brutality, right?
That is peanuts in comparison
To one of (if not) the largest protest in history. Approximately 36 million people across the globe took part in almost 3,000 protests against the Iraq war.
Europe saw the biggest mobilization of protesters, including a rally of three million people in Rome, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest ever anti-war rally.
And you think it is right to kill another half million of Iraqis, destroy a country to create multitudes of human suffering for generations. WTF is wrong with you!?
We don't have to revisit that argument again; just to fit your narrative

I have no feelings one way or the other towards George floyd and what became of the BLM movement. Im talking about someone that commited genocides and other atrocities.
If Zelensky was proven to have commited the same things, i wouldnt support helping his country. Its real simple. But nice try at deflecting.

In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."
