i don't think any war turns were taken in-between so i think its okay but this is still a pretty big ask, at any rate whatever the lurkers decide we should pause the game until its resolved before someone actually takes a war turn

I've paused the game to indicate that players should check this thread before taking their turn.

That's actually my big nightmare - that one day I'll forget to turn back research. I am not against the reload but I am pretty sure I'll be overruled on that. Also, Scooter is at war, we need to check with him if he did any combat.

Not sure what the lurker consensus will be, but I think there should be a broad, open conversation about when reloads should and shouldn't be occurring (not just in relation to this game) as it seems players have quite varied opinions. I don't think lurker contributions are necessarily reflecting what the players themselves might think - as opposed to e.g. turnsplits and settler races, where there is a general consensus that lurkers from their global knowledge can apply to a particular situation.
Just my 2c.

Also, I don't really think this is one for the lurkers to decide. I think the players can make this call. You know the issue, and can guess at what the consequences might be.

GKC, appreciate you being willing to play on despite the turn miss, next time let us know if you need the extension but I appreciate the courtesy.

A reload request is very problematic in this scenario. And lurkers not wanting to touch it doesn't make it better- they are the ones that can get full information as I'm sure there are details that plemo doesn't want to share here.
Is this a situation where Ramk can do something server-side? If it was just the slider not being adjusted could he give plemo the tech and deduct the appropriate amount of gold?
Lurkers, could you confirm the details here and comment on if it sounds feasible - even if you do not want to vote on whether or not it should be allowed?

This is generally true, as well. As the scope and scale of the game increases, I can guarantee that suboptimal play and mistakes will occur every single turn. Resetting or getting poor Ramk to correct every single mistake that's made is a slippery slope that leads to the guaranteed victor of any game to be Zeno as progress halves weekly.
