Keck Observatory, very neat! Are you allowed to share what you're using your telescope time for?

I've been noodling on an informal rule that basically goes like this:
"Once every 200 turns you get one 'oops' reload. Once you use it, it's gone, and you are auto-denied any request until the current 200 turns are completed."
Needs to be cleaned up and defined, but it would force players to be honest with themselves about how bad their "oops" really is. Game ruining? Sounds like a good use of your freebie. Micro ruining? I dunno man, sounds like you should save your freebie. The 200 turns element is purely to accommodate games that go deep where the stakes rise.
I think it's an excellent idea.

I also greatly favor the once every 200 turn oops reload. Be a bit rough to do if there are war turns happening, but outside of that i love it.

If the majority decides to continue, I have to live with it, even if I would have hoped otherwise. I agree that minor mistakes and suboptimal moves occur more frequently as the game progresses. Since I've been trying to cause as few delays as possible and move outside my preferred time windows, I've seen a significant increase in mistakes. I currently only have a very small time window each round, which overlaps with the little free time I have with my wife.
Due to personal circumstances (important work phase, move/renovation not yet completed and recently relatives in need of support without children of their own), I'm at my limit and have little time and enough stress that I don't want to add to it with my spare time activities. However, the constant mistakes and ill-considered decisions in the game don't really help, so I will need longer extensions again in the future to reduce this. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.

I think most agree that we all get an oops card, so I suppose you use yours and we reload?
Peace is non-negotiable

That sucks to hear. Would it help if we extend the timer so that you can play in your comfortable time window?

To be honest, I don't know, but I think a general extension of the timer will also lead to it being fully utilized and the pace of the game being slowed down further.

Id be fine with an extended timer. IT sucks, but for games larger than 10 players.. i dont personally mind it. BUT if you arent at war or have some urgent business please PYFT asap. 36 or 48 is fine with me. But unless someone has an emergency i will be against extensions past that.
