Regular waffles just syrup. Belgian waffles, i top with either just syrup, or syrup and strawberry's.

no lol. I have an unhealthy addiction to losing at this game. I am mildly surprised ive gotten into the position i am in atm, but thats mostly because i ran over a settler level player (sorry). IF i somehow won this game, it would feel kinda like pb48. Grateful that i won, but wasnt all my doing. I hate coming to the realization that im not good enough to win.

Grabbed Metal casting and archery, getting HBR next for stables for future knights/WE's possibly. After which ill likely head for construction for near-max security before beelining towards some interesting tech.

Current builds, prepping for what could be a long slog of a war with Gavagai. He has been building more and more HA's, and has them much closer to myself than mjmd. Mjmd and him also have a fish/fish, AND mjmd hasnt even RESPONDED to any of my "hey, lets maybe work something out between us, and Gavagai" kinda stuff. Nothing. Id let him get 90% of the spoils. I just want the other 3 cities ish near my current ones. Id raze/replant one for sure.

 

Newest pic from this area. I have a scout inside Nauf's territory, another scout coming thru GT, and a chariot that will be entering soon. If im going to be at war with Gavagai (one way or another probably in the next.. 25t) i want to make sure he isnt also building up on my flank. I have a much easier border to defend on his side, but its also MUCH better cities should they fall.



He has 8 more cities hidden in the fog. Thats alot of desert cities. Maybe a bunch more floodplains for his cities than my own?




I expect ginger to eat someone soon. If he can get to knights before his neighbors hit engineering, i think he is a serious contender. However, he is next to zulu who is AGG/PRO and his power rating makes him the incarnation of toku.



Dreylin. Not sure what he is upto. I might detour at some point and grab alphabet so i can check stuff out.. but im also destroying most others in EP.. so after i get the last 2 folk's graphs ill probably try and get tech vision on some people.



Greenline. For SOME REASON, he keeps dumping his EP into me. I dont neighbor him, i havent put any into him, he just has my graphs/tech vision for the last... 30t or so. If mjmd doesnt grab some solid techs with his wonderwhoring, i can see Greenline grabbing some cities off of him.

 

Speaking of the devil. 14 cities, and unless the fog to the south has ALOT more land.. he is deep into the desert. Expansion wasnt his gameplan. With the mids, im sure he can tech himself to something juicy. He can be the benefactor of any war between myself and Gavagai or dreylin and greenline.



You may notice some signs.

These signs are keeping track turn by turn what size his cities are. Ive seen SOME whipping, most of which have been 2pop. He has at least that i can see, a doomstack of 14HA and 2WC. With a straggler coming in from the north, and some axes out by our border. Without catapults he will have a bitch of a time breaking these cities. C1 praet attacking a c1 axe has odds. So even my non-barracks cities can build units that beat his. According to vodka, c1 praet gets 50% odds vs Shock HA's. So, other than blitzing one city and losing a bunch.. im not seeing an actual "winning" scenario for him. I can even take shock or c2 on 90% of my praets i have built. Plus ill have at least 1-2 archers in the cities that are likely to be hit.

His tech rate appears to be shit. At least according to the GNP graph.  I feel like its his Do or Die time. If he wants to try and drag me down, so be it.. but i think Mjmd would be the better target tbh. I dont WANT to absorb more cities atm. I will, but id rather tech.


Also, im guarding against any kind of weird flanking attack thru the desert with a scout and a chariot. It gives me a SOLID amount of time to whip and gather units. Even his doomstack would have a hardtime taking a city. In 5t or less i should have construction too, which will help with my river issues. Next up after that... will depend on if im at war or not. I want to hit up Aesthetics, and then literature to put the Heroic Epic in NoBakeCookies and National epic in Banana Bread. Someone has already started teching down that path, and i suspect its either Naufrager looking for the artist for yet another GA. OR mjmd being.. mjmd and wanting more wonders.

Nauf lost an empty city near my border to GT, GT is moving his stack(?) towards Nauf, i have a scout trying to catch up in GT's land. Gavagai's HA/piddly WC/Somewhat pita Axe stack closer to being a threat. Close enough that i said fuck it, and whipped alot of units. Especially because its RATHER OBVIOUS that Gavagai is trying to get, and stay in the 2nd part of the turn split. Its annoying. Would be one thing if its the turn b4 u declare, ect. But he has pretty consistently it seems trying to be behind me in turn order. Stupid.

Anyway ive been throwing some Ai diplo shit to a bunch of folks. I basically want the Nauf-GT war to go as long as possible, and for Zulu to stay out unless Nauf WRECKS GT, which i kinda expect to happen, but maybeeee there is hope?

Also, SOMEONE passed me in power... and greenline is the only one i dont have graphs on.. and Gavagai is the only one that was near my power. SOOOO, ill just assume he natural-built a bunch of units and ill see them flying my way shortly. Cant wait.

The next bloodbath. Im wondering how he plans on doing this. If i were him, id probably just retreat onto the forest where his 2WC's are sitting. But id love for him to just throw all those units into my 50% defense better promoted units. On a hill. Will he get good luck? Well lets see how things went.



Alright, 1.3% odds. leaving my praet at 4hp seems fair.

So, im hoping thats all of his luck out the window. He "could" take the city. But it would be stupid luck. Im getting 70%+ odds on his entire stack (with the praets of course) and thats ON ATTACK. So not even including my 50% defenses. Luckily ill be able to mop up with my extra units to the north. Thank civ for construction. Also, Gavagai is either REALLY close to finishing a tech, just finished one, or is very very broke. Im going with Very VERY broke, because i dont believe he has courthouses, is running around with an army my sizeish, and i havent seen him make more than 25gpt tops. Its going to be slow eating, but if he throws this stack at me and it gets wiped... im going to start taking cities.

Gavagai has put me in a bit of a tactical pickle. Good on him. So long as i don't get horrendous luck, Monster Energy should hold. He has a 2v1 unit advantage, but i have 50% defenses AND plenty of strong units in there. Each of my units SHOULD be able to take 2 of his out... Right? Sigh, this whole war is stupid. Kinda. i wanted to tech in peace, and yes. Gavagai could have been a future target. However, Mjmd has been the softest target for the entire game. ENTIRE GAME. Yet it kinda feels like Gavagai is trying to ruin my game vs try to win himself. Whether that's true or not is up-to him, and the lurkerati.

If that stack of his gets wiped without tooo much issue i can start a counteroffensive. However, i can see a move where he goes north to the forest and becomes a pain in the ass. I have like 2-3 catapults coming up that could break it if it comes to it.. but i really don't wanna deal with that. Saddens me that i didn't quite get the 40 forests that rickey left behind for me chopped. really wish i could divert forces towards nutty bars to put pressure on his healing stack, but i just cant. Gavagai has no chance of actually winning this war, outside of Nauf swapping around on our game long peacefulness. That being said, he is going to make this a very painful experience. I really hope this single psychotic Russian doesn't ruin my chances of winning this game.
