Scooter smashed Thoth pretty handily, but lost more or less everything doing it. Here's him stuffing his capital with enough to make it dicey for me...

Just a numbers game. Capture gold thanks to Scooter's vast wealth reserve been good, I can afford three more turns before striking with a little pillage.

How did you get the GNP that low when starting with Currency? Lots of whipping + no cottages?

Bingo. My finances tell the tale. Sixteen cities each running a free merchant nets 48gpt, so the merchantilism swap will break even. Nutty game.

Despite the awful positioning, this one did keep granary and forge, so it's retained thus far.

Ugly massive city garrison at the last bastion of America. The top eight defenders will statistically take out seven knights, then the next five take out two or three, so I need a good sixteen powerful knights to crack this. I have seventeen able to hit not next turn but the turn after; I'm okay if he trades out by killing one of those revolting finance-drains.

I was planning on a wave before going in, but remember this torched off a few turns before the 30t timer I was still adhering to. I'm war-weary and it's expensive, but I may look at a least-time delivery for a few trebuchets.

I'm either built for the extreme near-game or the extreme long game, having size does eventually matter most. But I think I'm going to look at which configuration I could stably get into to 2v1 "next guy". Not being the 1 matters more than who I join as the 2. Both Thoth and Pin love defecting on prisoners this game though.
