I had a long post, but I think, I make it short.
Your planned (posted) sequence of actions seemed sketchy - main problem for me was your war declaration ->If you lose, you simply don't open a 2nd front (without coercion). (A first strike is valid too.)
The real action was okay - I think, I had a post on that too ?
Generally good defense (and comeback). You had the bad luck to start between Thoth and Commodre.

I don't understand how Pindicator sat out multiple profitable war opportunities, had the best economy by a mile, and still missed Liberalism? What? Since reading all the spoiler threads I have not changed my pre-spoiled opinion that he's simply been checked out of this particular game, which fair enough.

I also think this is probably a first.
And this is why you just fire off lib when you can sometimes. I know a lot of people in the lurker thread wanted him to do something fancy with it, but sometimes you just take the free tech. Although it has been a while since we've seen lib stolen.

Well, if you take Nationalism or Printing Press with it Liberalism isn't valuable. You could have just researched those techs and be at (very roughly) the same spot because Liberalism itself doesn't do anything for a good while at the time when you get it.

Wait, do I understand here that you think Libbing Nationalism is bad?

Libbing nationalism isn't amazing, letting someone else lib a tech is worse.

Yes, this is my view on it. It's fine but not a big deal.

Well yeah, that's why I didn't understand why there seemed to be no concern that he just allowed Thoth to have it. I agree it's not as big a deal as the other much bigger deal. Which is the following facts.
* Thoth still does not have Astronomy yet
* Pindicator got Astronomy 30T ago
* Commodore got Astronomy 20T ago
* Neither have attacked him at all during this entire time despite nearly all of Thoth's cities being on the inner sea and therefore forkable
A lot of macro breakdowns in this game IMO.

Well, Commodore was busy attacking the softer target of you instead.
Pindicator arguably should have pressed his Astro advantage, but he was worried both about Thoth's land armies getting over to him too quickly after finishing Yuris, and any possible attack from Commodore while Pin might be out overextending.

This is correct
I think also something interesting in this game is the difference between a war to hurt and war to conquer and what boats mean—
Astronomy is a fabulous way to absolutely gut someone's kneecaps but it doesn't make conquest or snowballing possible
Peace is non-negotiable
