PB77 is a 5 player sequential Islands-y Pitboss that has struggled to get off the ground, and one player is not playing turns or being responsive, so we're looking for a sub. You will be playing Lincoln of Spain, and many of the usual water staples have been banned in order to make the game interesting. We're only on Turn 6, so very little has been decided for you game-wise. More details available in the subforum.
The tricky thing is being sequential, it would be ideal if it was someone who was US west coast based. Alternatively, Asia-based would likely work as well as anyone in Europe who likes to play in the mornings I think could work. Basically, trying to fit in between Superdeath and Bing in the turn order. If you're interested but don't fit that, please do still speak up. Changing turn order is not ideal, but it's better than the game dying.

If you don't find anyone else, I can take over. I am almost unspoiled, only looked through the threads when the game just started and remember nothing. My schedule is going to be quite messy though: right now I am in Moscow but I will move to New York at the end of August and will stay there until Christmas (and go back to NY in Spring). On top of that, I have a fluid sleep schedule and flexible work hours, it is mostly up to me whether to show up at the office or not. So I have no consistent availability window but I think I have enough free time on my hands to make it work.
I would prefer you to find someone else though as I fear to end up with too many games on my hands. But if no one else is willing, I can step in and save the game.

I may be able to help; on American east coast but I can make time to play the turn regularly depending on the exact window. However, I haven't played Civ 4 MP recently, and never with CtH, so I would be very leery of taking this on alone.

Thanks for the replies. It seems the player in question is still around, so this may have been a false alarm. However, we still have some concerns, so if you saw this and it interests you, maybe consider not further spoiling yourself for another month or so just to see if we're able to run reliably or not.

Ok, this spot is very much open still. It sounds like timing may be tough for both of you though. This spot plays after SD, and he plays evenings central US time. I imagine Gavagai could make it work now, but maybe it gets hard in the future? It also sounds like you'd prefer someone else do it. Fenn could work if you're either a bit of a night owl or a morning person - playing in the mornings US east coast would actually work too I believe. Let me know if you're seriously interested.
Also open to any other takers that see this thread.

Would Fenn be interested in taking the spot with Gavagai as a backup/dedlurker/etc? I'm wondering if this isn't the best way to make it work, as it sounds like Gav taking over solely is not his preference, but Fenn is willing with some help?

I would be fine with this arrangement but is Ginger on board with giving up his civ? When I checked last time my impression was he was committed to playing the game.

Doing some violence to the word "committed".

I will ded lurk either Fenn or Gav or whomever ends up taking over. I may have to skip commenting too much on scouting or settling order decisions.

I sent a PM to Fenn yesterday to gauge his interest with bigger specifics regarding the daily window options. The good news is the window is wider than I first thought - nearly 12 hours. I'm hoping he's up for it, as it sounds like he'll have some quite capable ded-lurker(s) available.

He told me the other day via chat that he thinks sequential does not really work for him. But he has not provided further clarification. But also it's been his turn for 48 hours now, and he has neither logged in to play nor posted publicly, so I really have no idea what his full thoughts are. (A disapperance of this length has happened multiple times, and we are on turn 8.) However, the simple truth is if he's not replaced there will be > 1 quit which will prove fatal anyway. Hoping to avoid that!

If Fenn passes, you sure you don't want the spot outright? Getting the PB70 band 80% of the way back together with no diplo sounds fun . I know turns would get played. I'm guessing you're fairly spoiled on capitals and how people see the game, but I'd be willing to roll with that to keep the game alive. I guess I don't know if you've read closely or skimmed.
