I’d love to give this a go, but I’m on vacation from 8-25th June and would prefer not to take a laptop (pb75 demise permitting).
If you’re planning to start turnplay before that, I’ll find someone to heckle.

I'll sign up tentatively though not sure yet if I'll be able to make the time. A mid-July start would be best.

Let's see if we can recap what we have so far.
Firm Signups
1) Superdeath + Naufragar
2-5) OPEN
The Maybes
Ordered from Most Firm to Least Firm
* GT: I nearly put him in the above category, but he also indicated some interested in teaming to some degree? This may be noteworthy to the other folks on this list?
* Dreylin: Unavailable June 8-25th. I would be somewhat surprised if turns were moving prior to June 25, but even if they were to launch prior to the 25th, it would probably just be a half dozen turns that are the easiest for someone to sub for. However, this may depend on if this is a full no-internet situation or not.
* Gavagai: Interested in playing, but some reservations about active games and how long they'll last. If 75 is the hangup, I'd be willing to land that plane for you once this game launches. 74 is a different story.
* Thrawn: Signed up tentatively, but is unsure he can commit. Maybe a teammate would be worthwhile?
* Yuris: Interested, but may not sign up if 77 is salvaged.

This varies wildly based on the base script. Mentioning Small was more about setting maintenance/tech cost expectations. In general a land-heavy script on Small will be on the big side for 5 players, and a water-heavy script less so, but these are just very crude ballparks - devil's in the details.

I will have internet while travelling. Might be a bit spotty while camping in the National Parks, but should have some access each day and will be reliable from 21st onwards.
If my PB75 plane crashes slower than I'm expecting, I might need to take a civ-capable machine with me, but I'm expecting to just need the assistance of a certified euthanisation consultant to see that to conclusion.

If your Civ in 75 is still alive when T0 of this game is live, then yes I will absolutely take it the rest of the distance from there. So I will count you in.

Does this mean you are in provided you can find someone to follow instructions for those turns if it proves necessary? Or is it your preference you pickup a ded-lurker/teammate of some sort that could independently cover?
Also, after reading this I was briefly tempted to stick "certified euthanasian consultant" in my signature, but I realized how uncomfortable that sounds context-free.

I meant the former, but happy to accept the latter.

Great. Well, I’d be happy to follow instructions on a turn. I’m sure others would be able to as well. It seems like we are up to the following:
1. Superdeath + Naufragar
2. Gavagai
3. Dreylin
4. <OPEN> *
5. <OPEN> *
Not totally sure where GT and Thrawn are at here. I stuck an asterisk next to spots 4 and 5 because they both indicated interest, so we are sort of at Schrodinger’s Open Roster Spot here. So we have somewhere from 0-2 open spots left.
