An interesting game for number 3, my picks were hilariously wrong (again). I am very curious to see what the alternate history results look like, when that eventually happens. Some different religious spreads might produce major differences from the game we saw.

Interestingly, I didn't feel that religion had much of any effect on this game, other than ensuring Hannibal wouldn't attack Huayna. Sitting Bull and Fred even had different religions which dropped them down to Cautious for a while, and that ultimately didn't change anything. While I'm interested in the AH results as well, I doubt religion will play a very important role in them either.
My most confident prediction for the AHs is that Freddy will replicate his success here with a high top two rate. What I'm most interested to see is how viable Shaka actually was. The real game gave a lot of support to those who were saying that he'd just crash his economy, but just how guaranteed was that outcome?

After an embarrassing loss last week, we'll see if random.org can bounce back this time. I was freaking out for a bit because it picked the same leader for each category as I did, but then things got a bit less uncanny as it did go rather different on the last three categories.
The generator this week favors Saladin to win a diplo victory on Turn 290, with Washington in second place, Pericles dying first, and a mere 7 wars across the contest.

Do you adjust the parameters for wars dependent on number of civs?
After that last game I'm not even sure that prediction is that weird although Saladins shrined religion would probably have to spread to everyone and he would have to stay at peace, but ya never know.

We have seen stranger outcomes in AI Survivor. Saladin by diplo would almost have to mean his religion becomes dominant, maybe with a big religious war against an unbeliever to add mutual military struggle. Being the target of such a global jihad would not be a good situation for whomever it was....

I expected Frederick to fare well and picked him for win, because Protective shield is proven to be effective and there's enough desert between him and Shaka to discourage early border tension. I just didn't expect Sitting Bull to fare so well - and I think he still would have lost race to spaceship, I just failed to consider the possibility of culture victory. Ah well still grabbed 1st-2nd reverse points so that's a consolation. I am so tempted to pick Mansa Musa 1st place victory because his position is so good (Frederick on 3rd game clearly shows how powerful having friendly neighbours are), but cheering for him would make a boring game and I do need to make a gamble somewhere to catch up...

Sorry, thought I'd answered this before! I have not been making any adjustments, but have stuck with the same 6-20 war range for each game.
Random.org made pretty reasonable predictions for the leaders in the upcoming game: Darius to win with Asoka 2nd and Brennus First to Die. By the twisted logic that this contest has produced, that means this is unlikely to be a correct prediction...
...especially since it thinks Darius will win a Turn 387 Domination victory with 16 wars! That would be quite the surprising game, to say the least.

Was there no game last Friday?
It is showing round 5 picks, and I think I did those already.

Correct, we had last week off with a new Alternate Histories to tide us over.

Well, another very entertaining game this week. I was way off on my predictions as usual, but got some of the broad flow of the game correct at least. Alternate histories for this one are going to be interesting.
A question: anyone know what was going on with Asoka's cities at the end? I have seen the AI do some weird stuff with its population, like assigning a zillion specialists and starving, but this was very odd.
