Poland demanding "WW2 compensation" and calling Germany as Nazis?
Cyprus? (Outright war between NATO members, with occupation till today)
NATO members successfully destabilizing Libya (and thus Europe through literally opening doors for mass-migration from Africa)
Same in Syria, creating what, 20 million refugees?
And when NATO actually SHOULD have acted, they didn't (Yugoslavia in the 1990s)
Ah yes, the only time they intervented, they bombed by "accident" the Chinese embassy. And then let the UCK do the same to the Serbs than what they claimed the Serbs did to the Albanians... (I've been there, it's a total shitshow from both sides, yet in the media here you'll only read how bad the Serbs are..)

NATO tries to claim it's a "defensive alliance". That's as defensive as if you're putting nukes in Turkey and then complaining when the other side places them on Cuba..

NATO should have been abolished after the Cold War, and instead Europe should have worked on economical integration - not on pushing NATO borders right next to St. Petersburg..

(It's not like they didn't actually promised that to Russia, but then backtracked on their words as "we never gave them anything in writing")

If you're doing well economically, you're not going to war against each other. The US going full mercantilist is about as stupid as they can be, and this will hurt them BRUTALLY in the long way to come. (We're talking decades here, not years)

It's never a black and white thing. Russia are certainly not the good guys that had a legitimate reason to attack Ukraine, but the West isn't blameless either about the whole conflict heating up, giving Russia a "blueprint" on how attacking other countries with zero casus beli went perfectly fine for them.

Man, from what you said I can bet you are not living in east Europe or you are one of those prorusian dudes(yes we have like 14% here in Romania as well). And with Russia its lets say 99% black, they keep theyr peple in poverty althouht they have all those riches and want that poverty for others as well.

Ucraine is a bit of an opresive state(i know that at first hand, thay closed minorities schools, they forced people to became uKrainans), but at least they are weak, and they got help and stoped the russians which are way worse in all measures and always in theyr history spread just desease with the politics.

Usa has loads of shortcomings, but on theyr acompleshiments you have Europe , Japan, South Korea(I dont say was totaly american due, but at least they didnt abandoned Europe to Rusia). They abandoned us once(Romania, BG,hungary) after ww2 and I am realy happy they defended us now, becasue after ukraine for sure Putn would had felt other contries are fascist and ned liberation.

Romania produced Ceaucescu, one of history's greatest political geniuses. He managed to solve the birthrate problem. Even Lee Kuan Yew couldn't solve that, explicitly admitting as much. Given that Romania produced a more talented politician than even the man who made Singapore so successful, your pro-American stance is like diving from a palace into the latrine.

In similar vein, North Korea is clearly a far happier and more successful civilisation than the pro-American South Korean democratic vassal state. Just look at the birthrates - 1.8 in NK, 0.7 or something in SK and still dropping. South Korean "civilisation" is a genocide.

Of course I understand that Romanians, who had huge fertility and a severe shortage of wealth, want less fertility and more wealth. But take a broader look at the world-historical context. One of the most fundamental challenges of modern civilisation - how to reconcile modern social norms and prosperity with procreation and family formation - was already solved - in "backward" Romania, and you want to throw it away! Would you rather have impoverished siblings, or for them to have never been born?

Consider also that Ceaucescu's execution was on 25th December, a clear sign that the forces which defeated him were the servants of Satan, engaging in a ritualistic repudiation of the Birth of Christ.
You  are kidding dont you? If you are serious I realy doubt about your sens of reality.

He didnt solved a birthrate probleme, before comunism comming romanian used to have even more children. after they introduced women in labor, natality started to plumed and ceasescu like a  egomanian and sick person which he was, was dreaming Romania to have 50 milions people. Make me laugh  were you got ggod points for ceacescu you must met some of the Romanians which are outside of Romania and adore the pig.

I stayed like 7 hours in line to get bread when I was 7 years old, and an old lady was yelling at me because I farted , and i near got smacked if some other guy didnt defend me, and after 2 hours more i managed to get 2 breads for 6 brothers.

I had 2 uncles died in prisons because they didnt agreed Ceausescu was a great leader and rezolver.

When I see all this opinion from people whic never felt the teror, seeing neigbour got by the police and sent to great Kanal.

If you were joking please forget all i wrote....

Whelp, that went as expected. I'll be writing in a random candidate from the Forward party as a protest vote.

For some reason, I also watched the debates last night. You can tell it was a mistake for the democrats to participate. Biden's mental decline has reached the point where it can't be waved away as grandfatherly, awkward stammering. I've spent enough time myself with dementia patients to know what it looks like. The difference between Trump and him is night and day at this point. Trump may have lost some of his boundless enthusiasm, and he still talks like a hustler driving a sale, but he's still coherent.

Biden as a candidate makes the very idea of a president farcical. The president is supposed to be the people's representative, but a vote for Biden is clearly not going to result in Biden making any decisions. Instead, he will simply sign any paper passed on his desk, by a shadowy group of faceless nobodies who are actually running the country.

I missed the first part initially and the 2nd half seemed ok and I was originally confused by the reaction, but rewatched and ya that first half was bad.

However, the other option is the most corrupt president in our history who also tried to overthrow our government. His judges also just made public corruption legal.

If this was McCains Republican party, easy choice, but its Trumps, so its also an easy if painful choice.

The second half was bad, unless you compare it to the first half.

Even if 6 months ago Biden's people thought he could hang on and do ok in this election, they must see now that he's in no condition to campaign. He has to step down, there's no alternative.

Sadly despite the obviousness, this does not appear likely to happy. The favor system has made the Democratic Party impossible to support.

Well, that escalated quickly.

From a semi-functional democracy to Russian Oligarchy 90s style.

I mean that is the path we are on on. Biden has been the most anti - trust president of the last 40 years at least. Trump had few investigations let alone cases go to court and many of the ones he did have were pretty bias (21% were against pot companies). He personally congratulated Murdoch for increasing his fortune when one of his mergers went through. The one case the government won, his DOJ assistant attorney general stepped in against the FTC and filed a motion to appeal. He happened to have been outside counsel for the company for many years and the government then lost on that appeal. He also argued FOR the major telecom merger of Spring and T-Mobile bringing major carriers from 4 to 3. Was Sprint owned by a Trump donor and ally? YOU BET!

Have I mentioned that on top of being a threat to democracy Trump was the most corrupt president EVER. And I really haven't missed international diplomacy via tweet.

Listen I get Biden is old. I get that he almost certainly in any normal election he shouldn't get elected. This isn't a normal election. Every republican that has spoken up against Trump is GONE. Even the ones who merely haven't done enough get threatened and primaried. That isn't normal politics.

The 90s oligarchy hasn't happened yet. We are still suffering under the reign of Brezhnev.
