I razed the Buddhist holy city to prevent yet another thing going Mjmd's way. We cant really stop his assault on Scooters capital due to lack of collateral, but i can maybe get some wins out of it to get that damned final GG. I NEED it for Commando. Thats a good chunk of the reason im in this war. I have probably the lowest chance of winning this game other than Scooter of course. BUT i can maybe give Mjmd some hell if Nauf EVER gives me OB. Remember Pb48? I might not have enough xp (nor the tech) for Commando Calvary/horse units.. But i have 1 GG to go till i can produce 2/3t Commando Gren's. or 1-2t Commando praets. I have plans. Most of them almost REQUIRE Nauf to do anything helpful. He is probably feeling even more depressed than i am, idk HOW, but probably is. He could earn my game long friendship back if he just opens borders OR helps. Literally not seeing a huge reason for him to not open borders. It doesnt have the same total-feeling of kingmaking like Gavagai did, but more of a "meh, what happens happens" rather than taking any role in the game. Zulu isnt going to attack him, not with Ginger and him having a blood fued/Ginger having no where else to go (dont cut off an opponents only expansion point if you dont believe you can beat them 1v1) So both of them Cannot help. Mjmd has tech parity with Ginger, and despite not having vision on that entire side of the map (THANKS NAUF) due to having research vision, i dont believe he has railroad quite yet, and looks more on a infantry beeline. Doesnt sound like a bad move, but honestly the only thing keeping me from making progress against Mjmd IS the frankly, broken Machine Gun. Cant touch it for ages. Have to beat a straight up 18str unit with defensive bonus's.

Thats what we are working with on the Scooter front. I expect Mjmd to go in in 1-2t once his stack is healed. He might feel pressured to go in ASAP before we gather more collateral. However, this front is more or less, dead to me. I expect we lose all of these cities, and he will be on MY doorstep within 10t. But, again, im using this to hopefully get my GG. So, i feel its all good. Sorry scoots. Glad you took over for Gavagai. Id guess he would have attacked me, rather than defend.




The bloody nose we all gave each other recently. Now, i didnt take pictures... but Mjmd had attacked my northern stack with a fair amount of rifles/most of his siege. He IS building railroad towards me up here, so i need to be wary of quick reinforcements.

See that stack of praets? Yeah, those are all HIGHLY promoted. Gren upgrades. This DOES give him a small window to attack, but without more collateral i think my defensive promo's will win. Plus more GG points potentially... Now, 8 cannon is going to HURT, but.. Im still hopeful. TBH, im not. But i gotta remain cheery because i woke up alive today. Seizures suck.




Leaving the Nauf front wide open. If he attacks its a smart short term win, vs a long term win if he waits for Mjmd to start taking cities from me down south. Most of my cities are not being whipped atm. I have hope that i can stem the tide for a little while longer. Alot of these cities still have 30-60t of whip anger. Having to build some wacky shit to keep them happy. 





Yes, meatwraps is building a wonder. Wanna know why? Im 99% sure Mjmd can still technically "build" it. Even if he doesnt get the bonus from it... Right? Either way, it denies him the culture which is still his most likely victory condition. He DOES have most of his wonders in 1 city which is... Alright, providing i can EVER get open borders with Nauf. I CANNOT reveal my Commando factory before i have kill potential. Will i? Probably. But ideally i can use it to raze an important city that he made a mistake in connecting railroad to from a border. Im asking for worldmaps from people to try and get an accurate layout of where he has these railroads. Now, I am TERRIBLE at anti-commando roading. I hate having workers just standing around doing nothing. So, they typically road damn near every tile in my empire. My thought process is always "well, what if they cut off my "one road" and now i cannot reinforce/attack them. Sure, i could then have backup workers available.. BUT in my life of playing this game, i have never had a Commando enter my borders. Ive had plenty of Morale units, but no Commandos. Ive used Commandos... Twice? Once to great success. Now that im thinking about it i cannot easily recall another time. Mostly because i either get out-played and lose the game before rifles, or the game simply is a "draw"/concede before then because someone got HA rushed followed by someone else getting Knight rushed.

Thanks for the update, it was a good one. Also good to hear you're doing better.

Machine guns *are* beatable, but it does take some doing as they hold up well until tanks arrive.

As I found out the hard way in PB72, the best way to deal with Machine Guns is City Raider 3 cannons (I imagine CR grens probably work well here too.) CR 3 cannons get to around str 16, and MGs don't have city garrison promotions unless they are upgraded. This works if your opponent has machine guns and no infantry, since the MGs defend first against the cannons and your cannons will chew up the MGs while collateraling the rest of the stack. If they have Infantry, the infantry defends first and it gets painful.

Sigh, this pb is becoming more and more frustrating. Ginger and zulu are in a blood fued. Nauf is in la-la land and wont even allow SCOUTS to go thru. WTF did i do to piss him off? Friendly all game, EVEN GAVE HIM HIS CITIES BACK AFTER HIS BACKSTAB, yet cant get open borders. Im cut off from 3/4th of the world between him and Mjmd. Speaking of Mjmd, this has got to be the easiest win ive seen in awhile, at least since Plemo smurfed a Green's game. First he gets Gavagai to ignore him, despite not building 10 units for 100t. Gavagai gets into a blood fued with me over peanuts, Intervenes ON GAVAGAI's BEHALF (along with nauf) and has nearly every single "good" wonder you can get. So, he has a backdoor culture victory. He has/is tied for farthest down the tech tree as he is up railroad/steel, but down soon to be infantry.

He has had DOMINATE GNP most of the game. Yeah, some of it is culture.. but not all of it. Outside of GA's, no one else has really topped him for more than a couple turns. He is a production LEADER. The only thing he "lacks" is being a top food but dont you worry, Scooter decided he would rather Mjmd heal then attack his stack after i eliminated his top defender (MG) and a bunch of other units from his invading stack. So, Mjmd basically just got a bunch of free promos' on those units. Lovely.

So, nauf doesnt want to do fuck all this game apparently, other than ruin any chance I had of winning. Glad to know he shares something in common with Gavagai. Zulu foolishly cut Ginger off from any other expansion path, making a "required" enemy out of each other. What does that leave? Oh, praet/cannon/gren Rome who still has fucking 50+ turns worth of whip anger in many cities from fighting a 3 front war. VS the snowballing railroaded super-worker infused culture boy. God, i dont mind losing, but this is some frustrating shit when im not only the only one wanting to TRY and stop Mjmd from rolling over scooter, and then into me, but i am the next on the food chain thanks to the "great" decision making that led up to this.

Obviously im also to blame. I dont know what i could have really done differently considering Nauf's betrayal, and Gavagai being hate-boner'd towards me. Maybe Krill or TBS could have swung my position after that 3 front war into a winning one. Doubt it though.

I did like the map. However, the side-folk (myself and dreylin) were at a LARGE disadvantage. Other empires get to have much tighter/shorter defenses in comparison. Man i hate complaining, but fuck. Why cant i have Mjmd's luck? GAVAGAI, WHAT DID I DO TO PISS YOU OFF SO MUCH???????????? NAUF, WHY DID YOU BREAK OUR FRIENDSHIP AND THEN NOT OPEN BORDERS??????????!?!?!?!?! Seriously, some of the dumbest shit.

ive tried to signal Multiple times to every other party that mjmd needs to be dealt with, and that im not capable of doing anything more than slowing him down. IDK wtf happened between Ginger and zulu, because i havent had eyes over there in a very long time, but just judging based on previous wars, Gingers ... attitude in the tech thread, and the HUGE fact that zulu cut them off from doing any non-boat related war... makes them 99% likely to never trust/not go to war with each other. Maybe MAYBE (the 1%) once Mjmd rolls thru me, they will make a last ditch effort? Maybe? I have/had 2 separate ideas to try and stop the monster Mjmd. One of those ideas is being completely neutered by Nauf refusing to open borders. Making my commando factory basically fucking useless. The second idea is to get Mjmd to no longer have tech vis, and beeline Astro and try and raze as many coastal cities as i can in 1t. Its an idea, especially with commando units, but man. Why do i have to be the only one trying to stop someone from straight up winning. Nauf is checked out, zulu/ginger are going to knock each other out of the running, scooter is being euthanized, and ive been behind in tech the entire game.. Ever since Gavagai attacked me unprovoked instead of eating the easiest prey ever, pre-rifles mjmd. I swear, i could have walked over Mjmd with barely more than what i killed Ricky with for most of the game. But no (and yes i will keep repeating this until i get Gavagai's honest answer) GAVAGAI HAD TO ATTACK AN EQUAL OR GREATER POWER rather than smash Mjmd and take the entire empire.



Then there is you. You.... you. Why didnt you ever militarize and take over the wonder spamming no unit Mjmd empire? Im actually quite curious.
