Bulb Astronomy

What is the trick to a quick bulb of Astronomy? Which techs do I need, which ones to I avoid and which GPs do I need?

GSci List:
You need to block Chemistry (or also grab Sci Meth), block or have Philo, and either block Paper or grab Paper, Education and Printing Press.

Astro's base cost is 2000 beakers (Duel/Noble), and a GSci makes 1500 + some multiplier of your pop (I forget what that multiplier is). So 1 GSci won't do it, but 2 is definitely overkill. A real fast beeline (Calendar/Machinery --> Optics + some beakers) WILL work if you don't mind skipping COL and CS for that long.

Drama, Music, Divine Right, Nationalism, Printing Press, Liberalism, Military Tradition, NOT Constitution (or else Democracy), NOT Scientific Method

Writing - get it
Mathematics - get it
Scientific Method - too late to matter
Physics - late
Education - avoid Paper to block it
Printing Press - avoid Paper to block it
Fiber Optics - late
Computers - late
Laser (BTS) - late
The Wheel - get it
Alphabet (BTS) - must get it, can't avoid Writing to block it
Philosophy - avoid both Code of Laws and Drama to block it
Chemistry - late (avoid Gunpowder)
Fission - late
Fusion - late
Optics - get it (this is the best target besides Astro itself to bulb with another Great Scientist)
Paper - avoid both Civil Service and Theology to block it
Astronomy - bingo!

You also need all of Astro's prerequisites of course, but none figure into the bulb hierarchy for Great Scientists. A Great Engineer for Machinery may be worthwhile.
