Logged in successfully (on Turn 1). No technical difficulties. Hello world.
Settings look good.
From working the Flat Grassland Forest Banana and settling on the Plains Hill, we have 5 food and 3 hammers. Someone else has 2 food and 5 hammers, so they must be working a Plains Forest Hill. Greenline must have given all players a starting Plains Hill with adjacent Banana to be fair, so I guess this is one of the other Fishing players building a Work Boat first at maximum production. That could be anyone except Miro with China. Fishing is popular!
By hovering over our name on the scoreboard, we can see that there are 918 land tiles on the map. 918/5 = 183.6 tiles, so our fair share of the map is about 184 land tiles.

Remember that CtH changes it so you don't need Fishing to build the workboat, just use it.

All right about the Scout movement. Going to the mountains we still have de Hills defense bonusl, but it is true that we should take care of it a lot now.
Up with Unalaska!!
After seeing our building path now, I think that choosing Fishing and Mining as starting techs should be a better option, so we've gained 15 provs.
Another thing that surprised me was in the Game Settings: No tech exchange!!! I expected No tech brokering.

No tech trading is the "default setting" for MP. The exception is diplomacy games, but even there we've been trending towards no tech trading, as it just makes the game more interesting.

Going to the Gold next is good. It only takes 1 turn and we want to know what the land is like around the Gold so we can try to claim it.

True, but in this game Fishing costs 74 beakers, so 8 turns of research at the beginning. The fastest possible Work Boat takes only 6 turns, so you still need to start with Fishing to have the technology in time for that plan.

Giraflorens, I made an opponent tracking Google sheet for us. In other games, I have an Excel spreadsheet like this for myself. Use it if you want. If you think it is boring or a waste of time, then that is alright.
PB79 Opponent Tracking Sheet.
Sheet 1 is for tracking how many cities the other players have even before we meet them. Just watch PBSPY each turn for mid-turn score increases or decreases. That way we can tell when other players gain or lose cities. This can help us tell how well other players are doing in the fog, and if the other players fight wars and capture cities from each other.
As soon as we meet all 4 other players, Sheet 1 will be completely obsolete. That might not take very long. Sheet 1 is more useful in larger games, but I included it anyway.
Sheet 2 is for tracking the number of players we have met who know techs that we can research but do not know yet. . CTH displays that number on the technology advisor screen, so all you have to do is take a screenshot of the tech screen every turn. Right now, all the numbers are 0 because we don't know any other players.
Once we meet other players, this can be super useful. By tracking the KTB number every turn, we can see as soon as someone discovers a technology, and we might be able to figure out who discovered it. This will help us track the other players' technology progress, which is always good to know.
