has anyone super-died yet :D
No one yet, but we met Cairo, and it looks like his main island is to the east of the gem island... so im stocking it full of archers +walls.

In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

sounds good to me!
how far away are they from gem island? is it like, they will see it as their natural territory and therefore us as having aggressively settled them, or is there space in between?

Either an island, or their mainland is roughly.. 5-6 tiles away from where i planted. HOWEVER, based on map meta/how it looks.. it was just supposed to be a border region/contested area. AND WE GOT BOTH GEMS BOIIIIS

settled on the stone, and our hanging gardens overflow plan is starting-ish.

Dont have a rough ETA on it, because i HATE extensive micro. (takes the fun outta the game for me) Not going to be able to get a TON of cities out, especially the turn before it finishes as we just dont have the settler-producing power. But, for relatively cheap w/stone.. and for extreme denial to Bing or Scooter.. i think its worth it, plus can use the extra pop for MORE settlers/archers ect.
Sadly not the best land for an explosive "hey, im now a target" kinda hanging gardens that seems so popular here.

hihi how did hanging gardens go? any other updates? idk if it's late enough for me to ask if you are thinking any geopolitical thoughts.....but are you thinking any geopolitical thoughts?
would love some info about the demos too - your expansion was looking good relative to cairo in previous screenies but not sure if that was anomalous or not

Pics at the end.
Roughly, Cairo is a natural expansion target. He is from previous experience, a builder at heart. He CAN get wild hairs up his ass and do some weird war declarations... but im not exactly one to talk. Japan of the fast Samurai are a possible threat, but we have to be probably the most un-appetizing target with our cha/pro totem pole archers. (btw, this is the combo i had as my FIRST pb. I do not recommend searching it. Commodore still hasnt forgiven me)
Scooter is of course, the highest skilled player in the game. Currently first in cities, on the score board, and not the first.. but close to on Currency. Now i DID/do think he or maybe Bing are also in the running for The Hanging Gardens, but i also believe i am the only one going for it this hard. Obviously im hoping for long-term benefit over short-term demos. Hopefully my reputation along with the stupidly efficient archers let us rebuild our economy and create an empire.
Going to get currency in 2t which will help alot. i THINK 2 or so of those settlers will settle in time for HG, and im almost tempted to halt finishing it for all the settlers to finish and get to their spots. I might talk myself into it. Most of the cities will likely 1pop whip a totem pole to get their borders popped in time for one of the other cities to whip/produce a workboat for them. In the meantime i ALSO need at least 3 more workers. Probably pushed too hard for HG... but i really want to be like others and have an "explosive" HG.
Criminally low amount of workers. I know. Shame on me.
settling the crab/silver site with that settler with a workboat 3t behind it for the crab.
Got a settler/archer pair settling next turn to the east, and a settler/archer pair settling in 2t to the north/west.
Hopefully no one snipes HG from me.
