Popped the hut to the south of Paris and scored a map:
There's dry wheat 2 tiles south of my copper which isn't great food but it's good enough if I can't find anything else.
Delayed religion (and hence border pop) is fine given my current micro plans (including not swapping for anothe 15 turns or so )
Reckon I'm going to need to come up with a naming theme other than "Default Civ 4 French City Names". Anyone want to make some suggestions for me to ignore?

dry wheat looks better than just dry, like toomanytiles next to it
Naming totestra... maybe just some silly madeup words?
Or lowball-ing expectations, like flatline, downtown, underwear, deep-pression...

I'm contractually obliged to say Sea Shanties.
Next would be folk songs in general.

I managed to read this as “LooneyTunes” initially, which might make a decent theme.

Nothing intersting (ie food or horses) revealed this turn.

It's better than no food for sure. If I had to, I'd hold my nose and plant a city to work copper and stone and stagnate. But I'm glad I can do a bit more with the city than that.

Made up stuff might work......but I'm thinking more along the lines of some infamous (A)D&D villains.......Bargle would make a decent capital name.

Looney Tunes might work given the settings.
At least for a few city names anyway. I might just pick a different theme for every city.
