I feel like settling for Pins ivory is going to lose Commodore this game. He basically has to focus all his military a million miles north to keep it. Meanwhile Yuris gets to sneak in and steal eastern forest area he really never should have had a chance at taking. I mean it is a happy that Commodore might feel he needs, but once Yuris is established south it makes a ton of sense for Yuris to side with Pin and unlike what should have happened he won't be a rump state.

Also, after multiple games of Commodore and Pin being friendly neighbors its nice seeing them in their natural state.

I also again love Pin saying he would go after Thoth if given a chance. Not only does he have a massive amount of backfill he hasn't scouted, but Thoth is needed as a main counterweight to Krill so weakening him would be silly. BUT to be fair to Pin he doesn't know Thoth connects to Krill and therefore if Thoth is isolated then Pin wanting to hit early makes sense. Edit: He does know about Krill being connected so it makes way less sense.

Love it all.

It's funny seeing Pin worry about Comm and then post a power graph where he's way ahead of him. I think the difference is probably the Ger - it adds 4k power and Pin probably built one everywhere. So Comm might see that and build too big of an army in response, and then Pin responds to that army in turn ...

calculating with incomplete data is fun (someone here has a nice signature about that)

Pin going to harrass Thoth feels a bit like Comm harrassing Pin. I don't quite get why Pin would make himself another enemy he didn't even scout.

I didn't think he was going to settle there. I am surprised by the sudden mutual disengagement.

Commodore smartly backing down from Pin is paying off as he is getting to beat back Yuris.

Pin is lucky he got two workers and even with that I still hate that little expedition.

This one was pretty funny too.. Bragging about having the only large city, and then show top-5 cities where there's another size 12, which is easily deduced to be Thoth.

Glad I'm not the only one that laughed at this. I could not tell if the sentence and picture sequence was intentional or not.

Comm seems far and above the winner of the early game. Lost little in two hot wars, one of his regional rivals pissing off Thoth, claimed the area he wanted and looks to have a shot at GLH. Question is if Thoth or Krill can snowball enough, or if Yuris and Pin can coordinate a strong enough attack against him. I suspect Pin will be distracted by his super isles in the period where Yuris remains competitive enough to contribute to the war. We shall see.

Commodore fought well and correctly reassessed where he needed to focus. However, the real winner of the early game is probably Krill because Thoth is focused on building and using military vs Pin when he should be booking it south to contest the juncture point with Krill.

I need to consider when to offer Thoth peace, because we can't just continue this forever.  But at the same time, I dont' think I'll be able to harass Commodore, because I'm going to have to keep forces on this island at all times.

Avoidable and consequential.

Honestly, the foody peninsula is probably better for Commodore than what Yuri's got.
