Presidential debates always give me a headache watching them.

That one was entirely propaganda made for 60-70 year olds with no useful information. Not to imply that younger people are much smarter or wiser on average, but it is sometimes rather depressing to see the kind of garbage that the 'average voter' or 'swing voter' is primed to respond to. Even the Realms Beyond politics threads used to be capable of more understanding of basic concepts. I went back and read the first 10 pages of discussion, you didn't see people spamming shit like 'our democracy' back then. It is remarkable how the events of one year caused everyone's brains to malfunction. Even I feel kind of stupider after 2020 and I don't know why.

I mean we didn't think we had to worry about 'our democracy' back in 2019. I wish that was still the case.

I will agree that these short answer debates aren't the best and are pretty theatrical. Give me a 10 minute answer on water management GO! Seriously in 2022 I voted for a local Republican (mayor) because he talked about water management. Give me that boring crap in detail.
