Not sure whether or not a quarry would clear the forest. I'll have to check that. [strike]Not bad, no commerce at all?[/strike]
(Edit: Ignore me, there won't be)
And a quarry will definitely clear it.

Here's the tile:
So with the quarry the tile would yield 2F 3H 2C. Can't complain.
Also, I'm not the master at reading scores, so could someone help me interpret the +6 that everyone else received? I don't imagine it is population, as the demographics indicate otherwise. Would Fishing be the cause? (Everyone else also has coastal cities, as I am tied for most land area)

I think all ancient era techs give +6 score.
I have to run.

Cool thanks. I'll sort that all out later.
EDIT: For personal reference for later

I have made contact with Pegasus this turn (T11) and have sent him the following message:
Quote:Hello Pegasus!
I am pleased to make acquaintance with your fine Ottoman empire. I look forward to communication and well-being between our two nations.
We hope your warrior fares well against the jungle creatures in the vicinity!

Sorry for the lack of updates.
I just founded my second city at the forest marble, sheep, fish and copper site. My capital will produce a workboat for the second city and then produce another worker.
Interesting map things... the coast right next to my second city is a "forest/coast", so it actually has a hammer. Fun!
I have also met everyone and have already research BW, Wheel, Fishing, Pottery, Sailing and will finish Hunting next turn.

Quick update:
I currently have three cities: McGill, Hastings and First (Kudos to whoever understands where I'm going with that)
My third city (First) was supposed to be planted at the silver crabs floodplains site, but a barbarian city had conveniently planted itself right where I wanted my city to be. Instead, First was founded on gold, and I have two axemen on their way to the barbarian city to capture it (defended by two warriors). I should also have my fifth city up and running within the next ten turns to border Pegasus in the north.
Also in that time, I hope to have the Great Lighthouse completed. I am currently far ahead in score and I hope nobody is threatened by that. I have signed NAPs until T100 with mackoti and Sylon.

I've never been one to take risks, but we'll see if it pays off this time around.
I've completed TGL, which may put a giant target on myself. I have also settled a HIGHLY disputed spot between myself and Pegasus. The next couple turns will be interesting.

Things are getting a little more interesting. I did not take any screenshots from this turn, but I will make sure to get some up in the near future.
Three of us (myself, Sylon and mackoti) are converging on a barbarian city (Vandal) which I have been eye-ing for a very long time. I have been communicating with Sylon, so I think he will back off with his chariot. mackoti will not reach the city before I kill the last warrior (unless another one is trained next turn), so the city should be mine.
Over in the Pegasus-Kodii theatre, Pegasus has two archers placed at our border. I only have a single warrior in my disputed border city (Boundary), so he could easily raze it, but I am hoping that he thinks I have troops in the fog just behind the city. If he holds off on war for just one more turn, my troops will reach Boundary and secure it.
My biggest mistake with that city was not realizing that I wouldn't have copper hooked up in the city to upgrade my warrior.
