What's a good way to post a screenshot with multiple stacks so you can see what units are where and how do you do it? I remember seeing something like this but not where.

It's editing from multiple screenshots. I'd take the "primary" screenshot, with one stack moused over there, and then paste in the "hover-over" from additional screenshots with arrows pointing to each stack. Not sure if you've been using any editing software more advanced than the Snipping Tool, I've found Irfanview to be lightweight, good enough, and free, but YMMV.

EDIT: Or just post multiple screenshots, it's fine.

Basically what Cyneheard said.

Personally I use Paint.net, and first take an overview screenshot to use as the base. Then snap one screenshot of each stack, preferably on black or atleast dark/uniform background, which can be achieved by panning with the keyboard while the pointer is on the stack. Each of these is then cropped down and pasted into the base screenshot, before adding boxes and arrows for legibility. It's a lot of work, but I usually find it's worth it for my own sake to keep track of where forces were.

Turn 116

Irfanview worked and here is the result:

Magic has the first half and has finished already, he double whipped in Sunny Boulders and we'll see what comes out next turn. I have also moved my units this turn, so he has one more chance to ship defenders before I attack. Dreylin hasn't moved yet on this screenshot but he was playing as I was copy/pasting and I'll post an updated view later.

I moved the scout 2SW to look at the city and it is defended only by an axe and a horcher. Is there a standard way to communicate this to Dreylin? He could have moved his horchers this way and been under the silver, ready to attack next turn. Like if I send crab-gems for the resources around the city and 2 gold for the number of units? But if there isn't a standard it would only be confusing so I won't send anything.

Good luck with Sunny Boulders. You have not enough catapults, I think. I plan to have ~ 20-50% of the stack as catapults. This is maybe a bit too much - especially in the strong mounted meta here, but still...

You could try to indicate the city with resources.
So maybe 2 gold for Stone as 2 units in Stonecity ?

Temporarily second in cities! (T117)

Also the combat log from this turn. The first sword attack was a misclick when I opened the turn and just wanted to look at the odds. Got the mouse out for the rest the fight smile

Rook was an immortal. The only lower odds fight was the dog-archer at 60.5%, the others were two at ~90% and two at ~100%.

The chance were better than expected.
Congrats.
Do you have a potential answer to long bows, which MS will get next turn ?
How many XP your swordsmen get ? I think they could be successful (after catapults) - one cata is not enough.

That is some pretty good luck.  hammer hammer hammer

Well, it was a coin flip if I win the battle without losing anything. These are all 3-promo units and give a lot of flexibility in crafting the attack order to be favorable. For example here I ended up using a C3 dog, and in the previous skirmish the suicide dog got formation to target the axe instead of the immortal and make it easier for the rest. Though there I did lose a sword at 88% so it averages out.

Re one cat being not enough, this is the first and possibly still the only cat on the map and I wanted it mainly for the bombardment. Interestingly going 20->12% did end up hitting a couple of breakpoints and improved the odds, but 20->4% with accuracy wasn't going to do much more so I saved the promotion for a potential Barrage 2 in the future.
