Sorry I totally missed this question. First lets get caught up.
Right after I settled island TBS did offer open borders, making the chariot switch and barb spawn totally wasted. Also, a barb invasion of an axe and archer spawned in far south. With open borders I could feel safe about my border city so I have moved two of my own axes towards my soon wheat spot. I do hate TBS scouting with a chariot. I trust him 95%, but our fish for fish is expiring and for the other 5% I do have to move units to at least cover the cities.
1) Mostly yes. Its a somewhat tricky dot map which rolls into #2. For instance in some of my older screenshots I was thinking of settling for the northern beaver and having a filler city with the grasslands. However, decided to orphan that beaver and just settle the commerce city that has 3 grassland river tiles instead and more river tiles overall plus gets levee later. Also, having a heck of time deciding between working the peninsula horse or the other beaver. That city will be commerce taking the 1 grassland river tile from capital and having the riverside silk, so maybe the beaver? Also, gains a forest at cost of making pig second ring (I can split off the corn temporarily). However, having a slightly better naval production city might be better long term than slightly better commerce city. However, my weakest point is probably commerce?
2) Counting my 1 current island city and mainland spots I think 16. Of those 4 are filler (western crab, lake copper, and then 2 on SW peninsula with irrigation). Plus whatever the unexplored islands can support / assuming I get.

The barb axe and barb archer were in a spot to threaten my worker timing for the wheat plant. Did some testing and I couldn't get the barbs to attack a worker with or without an escorting unit........ Maybe Charriu over modded. Maybe my test is flawed although I tried a couple different ways. I did move the worker there. I have a 51% chance to still win if he does attack. I also moved the 2nd axe to another jungle also bordering the barbs to tempt them.
I'm not sure what to make of the less experienced continent. Dreylin took a city off of Gira then had a city razed by Xist. We shall see.

Make sure he is next to me as it should be.
I can add a third continent with just the two of you?
I had forgotten about this from the original sign up thread. We weren't actually serious!

Lost the worker, so test was not accurate. Barb axe won at 9.9%, but I cleaned up both after. I did have an extra worker coming, but still will delay settling by a turn.
Settled 9th city in tundra floodplains in the north, but didn't have time to access my excel sheet with songs, so you will have to wait.

Lost the worker as in killed? Or captured by the barbs and then recaptured by you?
Did you run your test in a new game? Or after rolling a bunch of turns? Barb behavior could be significantly different in the early turns and/or if all players have only founded their capitals, compared to 50+ turns into the game when everyone has a few cities.

Killed. Barbs don't capture sadly.
It was in a 20 turn in game (IE where I left off my micro). I did think about this, but I was too lazy to open up a game from a different mod version as I was trying to do fast. I was testing in the open out of culture. I did have 51% chance to win as well.

In the MOST shocking thing you have EVER heard of Mjmd is going for Hanging Gardens!
I settled 3/4 cities this turn. Luckily due to me being an idiot the turn delay on the wheat city will not matter assuming I don't now lose the wonder. Will not fully elaborate on my idiocy, but part of it is the turns are coming pretty fast and I've had to play some of the turns fast as a result. So I did a whip or two I wouldn't have had to do ect. I also didn't finish a monument sooner in Great Big Sea. To be fair I only figured out i was building it there like 11 turns ago. I looked around and went "wait this has 6 forests". I hadn't originally thought about it because a lot of those forest tiles long term will belong to other cities.
It won't be a great Hanging Gardens. Its not PB70 where I also had currency and another 4 cities. But it will still be good. It will also mean I have all my long term commerce cities settled and they can start developing. Currency should be about T100, which is normal target for it. I'm not serious about the Great Wall btw.
I am thinking of finishing archery next turn at 10% so overflow can go into an archer or two. I know the workboat is scouting, but I want at least 1 galley over there and I might build a 2nd. I still suspect the islands may lead to the other continent. There appears to still be a turn split and a gg was born last turn. If there are contested islands I would like. Probably timed with currency.

Windy Harbour - NW city that I did end up settling for the beaver.
Got HG!!!
I was briefly in score lead, before I whipped a lot away! Monuments and workers are the order of the day.
Those who's eyes didn't glaze over may notice one of the primary reasons I settled for sooner beaver over horse.

Banks of Cold Waters. Been a while since update and next will probably be T100.
And I realized the icons block the name. Listen its the hill sheep wine city on the river smack dab in middle of the north.
Reason I'm showing with icons is specifically the double fish city way off to the west. Was I an idiot and forget to start a settler for islands even though I specifically stated I wanted to go to the islands at currency? Yaaaaa. Again, I'm trying to be more open with my own mistakes this game. So ya I had to whip out a settler and it still won't be there when I finish currency. Question I'm rolling around in my head is if I'm making it part GP farm part commerce city or just go pure GP farm. IE am I farming the two grasslands it will have. I kind of want to put national epic in Great Big Sea to farm engineers, so maybe a partial commerce city? That being said just a consistent source of a scientist or merchant is pretty good and I don't need to put epic there for that. Have a while to make that decision. Good city though no matter what and I really do need some kind of larger GP generation site.
Speaking of epics TBS is going to of the tree (I doubt its Nauf) and both of them have IW so I'm wondering if Nauf is going for his UU to try for astro islands (if they exist, but that was kind of the gamble when he chose Portugal).
Also, if you are looking at icons you'll notice a lack of seafood at the island south of Schooner Moonlight in the SE. We will see next turn. Really wanted a city down there to help with culture pressure on the 2 land tiles in contention.
There is no connection via island west, but this continent is far north I could still see islands going SW and connecting to a southern continent. Not sure if islands connect to TBS but it looks like he is settling some island down there. I did overflow into an archer at one point because his galley was hanging out off his coast and I was a little afraid of double chariots. Probably a mistake as I mostly have been patrolling chariot. Its good to be paranoid sometimes in this game, but that was probably too paranoid.
Still not sure if I'm serious about this Great Wall build. I kind of want the wealth, but ironically without SD around someone might not build it! It is a rare GP type and not a horrid wonder.

Hey, Hey, Hey. I dont build it every game.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."
