Righteo all, I got the save a bit earlier tonight so a quick look at where I'm at:

First of all the meeting with Auro:

Not much there, I've three cities to their two and of course we've no trade routes to see anything else.

Secondly I founded my third city, Tolero:

Sorry that's a more central view of my empire, the screenshot I took of the city didn't hold. It's in an extremely fertile river valley which will be enough to be a true powerhouse commerce city and a good production city too. I am really pleased I could snag this spot exactly where I wanted it. It starts on a monument again for nothing better to do (and also to get the cows and the copper inside my borders too). I have third worker moving over, partially roading as I go, though my first worker is done improving at the capital until I get more happy cap (at ten pop there for now) so he'll go that way too. In terms of what was in the fog waiting to pounce if I didn't there was the griffon that et a previous warrior and also a bear hopping along behind him.

And finally my demographics:

Still very much middle of the road, but I think my settler spam here to build out to a solid 5 to 6 city core with a few fillers is the best way to go.

PS, forgot to say Auroracher is on a bit of an Elrond kick.

Afternoon all, today's turn has just been played, not much by way of game play just ticking over my civ while I get my newer cities online.

One thing I'll talk about though is related to what I need to do going forward. I am doing ok still in food but my manufacturing and most especially my gold generation is low. I'm not too worried about manufacturing as that's a function of running a food heavy capital for the moment while I pump out settlers (get a few more mines going and when I'm not building settlers my hammers will massively increase). However the gold is concerning, meaning that I am going to have to modify my strategy unless I want to wait a couple of hundred turns for Priests of Winter. So as soon as I finish BW (t-2 turns), I am going festivals>mysticism to get the marketplaces and elder councils into play for GNP generation. After that I will go back to my original plan of getting the Priests and building a Priests, Axes and Arcane army to see what damage I can do long term.

In terms of building cities, my next two will go to fillerish locations between the three I have now and my nothern plants which will come after them. My second city, Lakis finished its monument this turn and is building a Hunting Lodge, I'll get a couple of hunters out of there and after that will build a few workers to help with improvements.

To hammer home the GNP have a look at demographics:

And a look at my third city Tolero, as it didn't get screenshotted last time:

Sorry for the lack of updates this last week, been busy preparing for my interview and didn't have the time to report.

I'll put a roundup together Tuesday when I play the next turn (no playing tomorrow, interviews wreck me) as there have been some very interesting developments.

I hope the interview went well! Good luck with the selection process if it's still to come!
