Somebody has pumped a warrior out as well so I should be able to determine that as workboats complete. I'll know who got the warrior because they won't be working clams!

Lots of action in the demogs recently (land points have been awarded) and there have been some tech discoveries. Don't know when I'll have time...

K so I've gotten through some of the demographics and I'm pretty certain that SevenSpirits is playing games with the discovery of his second tech. I can't be sure yet but I believe Jowy to have researched BW and Seven to have researched The Wheel.

Well I might just be a dead man...

The barb warrior (there's now 3) has just entered my borders on T22. I was pretty confident it wouldn't be until at least T30.../sigh

Oh well. I've adopted slavery and moved my worker to 1NE of my city so hopefully rather than the barb moving to the Oasis and threatening the worker and my city he'll move to 2E of my capital which will threaten only the worker. That way I might survive.

Does anybody know if you can whip a warrior from scratch at size 2?

Yes. The scratch penalty is 20 hammers per pop instead of 30, which is still enough to complete a warrior for 15 hammers (normal speed numbers.)

That said, I believe there is a time limit where barbarians will not attack a city, until there are a total of 3 cities per player on that continent. Not sure of the details but search at CFC and you should find them.

Sorry Scooter but this could be tough as it's a bit reaction oriented due to the barb. I had to whip a warrior from scratch.

Work the Deer until Size 2. At size 2 work the Deer and Crabs.
Complete the warrior and start another one if it gets that far with you.

If the barb moves to the Deer at any point work the Crabs instead.

I believe when I uploaded I had moved the worker to the deer. If it's not, it will be in the city. If the barb moves back move to a hill to try and chop, otherwise just keep it in the city.

OK so back in action.

I just played T26 and here's where things are at.

The Wheel due in 4T.
Size 3 due in 3T.
Warrior completed at EOT.
Worker (John A. MacDonald) has 1T left to chop the forest 1NE of Charlottetown.
I'm working the Deer and the Crabs.

I believe I have 2 overflow from the warrior to carry forward next turn. Combine that with my regular 3 hammers makes 5 and add a chop to make 25. I will also build a barracks next turn so I should complete a barracks with exactly the minimum required hammers invested.

John A. MacDonald will then mine the grasshill, then road it, then mine and road the copper.

I shall produce warriors until the copper is hooked up. My warrior who survived the barb suiciding on my city (without taking a scratch) has been renamed to Patrick Roy smile.

Patrick has stationed himself 1E,1SE of Charlottetown and will fortify there. Rick Hansen will probably come and join him with the most recent warrior to be designated as MP in Charlottetown.

Obviously my naming theme is all Canadian! My cities shall be named after cities (duh), workers after Prime Ministers, and military units mostly after hockey players. Anybody that is likely to spend most of their time as MP will most likely be named after a goal tender.

I'll try and post a screenie or two next week though not much has really changed.

And it is now T34. That and I finally figured out how to use paint properly! lol Look at my nice pretty straight rectangle!

I'm currently working the Deer, Crabs, Oasis and Sheep (unimproved). That's only for this turn. Next turn I will switch the unimproved Sheep for my furs. I shall grow to size 5 and get potter at the same time and will immediately switch to a granary.

Oh and as you may notice, Patrick Roy had another barb warrior suicide against him on the flat ground.

I'm at size 5, Pottery has just come in and I'm swapped to a granary. That will take me 3 turns to build as I'm working the deer, furs, crabs, oasis and copper for 10H x 2 = 20 -> 60 / 20 = 3T.

I am onto sailing due in 7 and I have 1T invested in a WB at 9H/30H. I plan to grow to size 6 which should time nicely with the granary being completed halfway at size 5 and the WB completing at Size 6. Then triple whip a settler with max overflow into a galley.

Not sure of my tech path past sailing. I might head for AH, or Mysticism path.
