I'll be interested in any game on Yucata. I still need my revenge :P

I'm interested in any game, either in real-time or via Yucata. If we set up a real-time game and communicate via teamspeak that might be interesting, and would let us try out a game without a several-week time commitment.

Beyond that, I can't offer much else since I have so little boardgaming experience. I'll have to leave the choice of which games to play to others.

I'll play anything. Easier with the pbem style but i could probably fit in a real time game now and then

Hi,

For people who'd like to try out San Juan or want to get some practice, might I recommend my single-player implementation of the game with a solid AI over here... wink

OK, I was thinking of trying Egizia. It's about building monuments in Egypt. Rules are here. It's not dissimilar to Stone Age, in that it's in the "worker placement" genre. You are placing your boats along the Nile at certain points to carry out actions and collect abilities. The "twist" in this game is that you can only place a boat further down the Nile than the previous boat you placed - you can't go back upstream so it's a balance of taking that good action a long way downstream vs getting more actions in total as you go downstream slower.

Amelia, Sciz and Sunrise - are you up for this? I'll start a game tomorrow if so.

That's a coincidence, because I've been wanting to try that game for a while.

It plays 4, so are there 2 people that want to join Kylearan and I? Kylearan: you need to register a username at yucata and then post it here.

Hey, I've heard of Saint Petersburg too. I just joined at Yucata as T-hawk. Well, I've got an important question: are the game materials playable in English or am I going to spend a lot of time at Babelfish? smile

While I have never played Saint Petersburg or really know the rules too well, I'd definitely be interested in playing games like this, so if you would have a newb, I'd be down to play. On Yucata I'm DavidCorperial.

Put me in for Egizia, and if there isn't a 4th player for Saint Petersburg put me in too smile

I'm Kylearan on Yucata.

I saw that for St. Petersburg, Yucata offers the option of playing with hand cards and money hidden. We always play with hidden cards and money, but then you could always write down what the other players are doing and follow their money if you wanted to (especially in a PBEM game), so either option is fine for me.
