I've gotten two golds, two maps, one scout and one tech (Hunting). Not bad, not amazing.
Oh, and I just got a free upgrade on my warrior, whom I made woody 2. I was able to move him right up to Scooter's second city, which is undefended! I know he must have a unit somewhere nearby that I can't see. Hopefully it's two turns away so I can destroy!!!
Scooter's second city is going for the bronze, so if I can't kill the city, I want to keep that unhooked up.
Finally, I had my wisdom teeth out today so I'm a bit out of it, but I will try to put a picture up whenever scooter finally sends the turn back.

Got my wisdom teeth out, took narcotics for the first time ever and discovered I can't sleep. I was able to snatch a worker from Scooter with my Woody 2 Warrior. I also have founded my second city. Instead of going for the forward bronze city (not good food options) i went backline, settling on a plains hill with cow and floodplains in the BFC.
I am busting out some more archers for further harrassment.

So how is the start in your new game going? Scooter has been plenty talkative

Sorry for the lack of reporting. It's been a crazy week!
I'm guessing that everyone has read Scooter's reports so I don't need to explain the details. Suffice it to say, we're playing a third AW Duel to break our tie. I won the last game based on some good play but also a lot of luck. I hope to win this one just on good play.
We had a little snafu when we realized Scooter forgot to turn on AW so we actually had to replay the first 10 turns or so. Fortunately, there isn't a lot to remember in that amount of time. I think I ended up moving my scout warrior to the west one space differently, but I'm not sure. Also, I got one forest growth I didn't get the first time through. I'm not sure it was good though because it slowed my worker down one turn getting to the sheep to pasturize them!
Scooter reached my capital before I reached his. I had a warrior there against his warrior (both C1). I debated for a couple of minutes about what to do. If I did nothing, he'd move onto a forest and I'd be screwed until Bowmen came along. On the other hand, if I attacked 50-50 and lost, it'd be game over.
Fortunately, that's when I realized that the turns are sequential and that if I lost, my new warrior would appear right before Scooter got to move into my capital. So I went for it and won!!! So not only am I off playing defense and onto offense (my warrior has arrived in his capital area), but I got 4 EXP out of the battle! Trying to decide if I send him out or keep him back for defense. Probably will send him out because he'll be useless on defense before long.
Tech wise I went AH first (no brainer with cows and sheep in BFC). Then mining and I'm currently on BW. I almost went Hunting/Archery before BW because if I could get Bowmen before Scooter, that'd be a big advantage (though he'd have to have really put them off to not have bowman by the time my first one arrived in his territory). However, I have a lot of forests I want to chop so I went BW first.

SURPRISE!!!! I'm still alive. Since it's thanksgiving, I have nothing to do right now, and Scooter is away all afternoon so I'm not playing any turns, I thought I'd make an update. Everyone is probably rooting for Scooter just because he's updated. I don't know much of what he's told you all but I do know that he's let you know about my foolish mistakes from emails he's sent me. Most of this update is pictures and I've put some text into the pictures (some of which I know is hard to read, sorry!) It's not in great order, but you can deal. All pictures are from the most recent turn I played.
Krill or Sunrise (can't remember which) told me once that the player who settles aggressively towards the other and lives will win. In chess (which I'm terrible at) I've heard it said "control the middle of the board." So that's what I tried to do. I prioritized settling to the middle to claim spots. I got the middle middle well before Scooter. I got the southern middle before him twice but was razed. Fortunately the third time I culture bombed it and controlled the southern middle. I got the northern middle without a contest! What a coup! I've made mistakes but I think this is the strategy that got me into a HOPEFULLY winning position.
Here's the current war situation. We mutually razed the southern middle cities. But I have refounded already AND I had my military left in tact. He's was scattered/destroyed. He had been way too heavy on siege so once I destroyed the cover units it was easy to take them out. I could have done all of this even sooner but when he initially invaded I got nervous and moved all my lurking units in one turn too soon. I've learned lots of things like that this game. My MP war skills have grown a ton. My biggest weakness is just going to quick and not thinking.
Also note that Scooter seemed to stop building military once he "had enough" as evidenced by the plateau in his power graph. I think that if he had stayed on the military path he would have been in a lot better position now. He's trying to play catch up but with my Power edge, GA production and all cities of signifigance building military, he's gonna have a hard time.
You can see my back lands. I think i goofed in where I planted the back most cities but oh well.
This one is kinda confusing becuase we're both Babylon. I changed names of my civ last game but I won so quickly that it didn't seem worth it to do again and I didn't have a bright idea anyways.
I'm too lazy to do the math but eyeballing it this seems to have come out pretty good!

Shameless plug worked!
Yeah the (most recent) turning point was that I didn't notice that the borders shifted slightly and Scooter got to raze one of my established cities. ARGH!
Other mistake was spending too much time fooling around in his land after I knew I didn't have a clear and decisive win. Up to recently, I had the strategy of focusing on growing/expanding with a strong defense (hence I went for Feudalism first and Scooter went for Macemen). I got greedy and wanted to push an advantage too far and it backfired because Scooter got to Cavs first which, with his higher promotions, slaughtered my cuirrisiers.
Currently, it's still a tight game, though, so I didn't blow the game, just my lead. My plan is to go back to my original plan. I just pushed out three settlers to refound and fill in gaps. Units will be shifted for defense, not offense. And I'll try to swing a land area advantage to my favor.

I'm reading along with everything too, just didn't have anything to add. Still looks like a supremely tense and exciting game!
Scooter posted at one point that he thinks he has more people rooting for him because he posts more... he might be right.
