Kylearan, you're up in Saint Petersburg. I think the site isn't sending emails at the moment. I never got an email yesterday, and checked in anyway and saw it was my turn.

Is that what's happening? Phew. The same thing happened to me and I was thinking "Did.. did I forget to press end turn and leave everybody waiting?". Glad I didn't do that at least.

I'm sorry for not playing my turn for so long, but I've been struck by the flu while my pregnant wife and my daughter caught a gastric flu at the same time, and so the last few days have been...interesting. I can play again now, though.

You guys collected all the point buildings early and left me free pick of all the high end nobles and utility buildings, that's how I got so far ahead

Hrm, I'm going to get decent points for aristocrats this game but I'm too far behind in points to catch up. I am learning though, albeit slowly. This game I'm blaming on some stupid turns near the beginning, where I didn't anticipate the start player markers moving on and hence wasting my observatory. And also ignoring the best blue buildings.

sooooo, you've certainly had some bad luck with your noble draws, getting a lot of duplicates and none providing victory points! But yeah, you probably also neglected the blue upgrade buildings too much (if you had the chance to get them; can't remember).

By my count, I should come out one point ahead of T-hawk before final ruble scoring. I'll get another point for having >10 rubles, so unless T-hawk has more than 20 rubles in the end, I think I got this. smile

This had been a very interesting game for me. After the observatories fell to David and sooooo early, and then T-hawk getting 3(!) nobles in one round (which honestly shouldn't have happened with more experienced players - no offense to sooooo and David), I had to try something desperate. I had the strongest economy, so I tried to open up as many noble slots on the board as possible, flooding the others with nobles. I hoped that especially T-hawk wouldn't have the money to buy them all, and that the sheer numbers of available nobles would degrade the usefulness of the observatories. It looks like that strategy worked out well - although I'm not entirely sure it worked for the reasons I had planned. wink

Anyway, thanks sooooo for showing me Yucata.de! I think I'm hooked now, and I'd love to play some more games there, both games I already know and which are new to me. Hopefully we can organize some more games! smile
