I'm not a big fan of the vote. I signed up for blood and gore and guts and veins in my teeth, and losing the vote after putting real effort into a game isn't my idea of fun.
The app is called MooBumpYear and this is how I ignore the vote and continue my game.
When the vote happens and a winner is declared and you're asked if you accept the ruling - choose YES
Hit the ESC key
Choose CONTINUE
Save the game to the first slot - game1.sav
Run MooBumpYear
Load the game from the first slot - game1.sav
Turn off events if that's your preferred way to play
As you can probably guess, the app bumps the year forward by one. Since votes happen every 25 years, advancing to the next year solves the problem, for now. But as you probably know, the very first vote can occur on oddball years. Bumping the year won't help you there. What I do is accept the ruling, hit esc, choose continue until someone abstains.
No installation required. Put it in the same folder as Orion.exe, create a shortcut to it, and run it via the shortcut from anywhere on your computer.
