So, I wanna start the game in a window without having to start it fullscreen and then hit alt-enter.

I swear I used to be able to do this. I've set all my .conf files to fullscreen=disabled and that doesn't matter though...

The gog dosbox configurator doesn't appear to have any effect on anything either... It'd be really great to run in a window and get 200% superscaling. I swear it was possible and on my old computer (in 2019) had it setup perfectly.... but even copying the .conf file from that old computer didn't help at all.

Anyone have a clue what's up?

NOTE: GoG version.

edit: I also tried using a shortcut directly to the dosbox exe with these flags

  -conf DOSBOXMOM.conf -noconsole -c "exit"

But whenever I try to run the shortcut with those flags it just instantly closes itself... oh wait... I changed the target directory and now when I run dosbox it just doesn't launch master of magic and leaves me on the dosbox command prompt, hmm...

edit:

SOLUTION:

LOL sorry, my bad. I had to mount ".." instead of "." because of the extra nested directory.

This is what my desktop looks like at 1440p desktop resolution. It's honestly not as good as it looked on my old 1080p monitor. However if I increase the window size any further in the dosbox configuration file it seems to "break" aka default back to minimium original resolution.

If anyone knows how to make caster of magic run in a higher resolution window, please reply! I'd love to know how to increase this window size further. ATM the conf file is at this key setting:

scaler=normal3x

I have the exact same problem smile It used to run in double size window on my old comp, and now no matter what I do I get either the smaller window, or full screen... Ended up staying with full screen cause the small window is just too small...
