Numids are cool-ish.
Harbors are.. well by the time I have Compass, I'm already getting steamrolled by knights.

I'm not fond of Izzy or Stalin at all.

These are all going to be a pass probably.

Here is the starting screenshot. Let me know when you've decided whether to lock in either the civ or leader or what you'd like to reroll. Confirm in the next two days please. I will be rerolling for everyone that rejects either civ or leader or both once I have all confirmations for this round of selections.

Your start:

Japan is.. Well, Samurai are neat, and more XP is good, even if forges are expensive.

Choices are getting thin.

San Martin - Cha/cre. cheap monuments. Which I don't need for borders, but come with a happy face. On emperor. Cheap libraries, which I will definitely build. Plus he has the advantage of me never having played him before.
Brennus. I'd rather have Stalin back...

There's no synergy here.

While I'm posting. I'm considering moving 2w. Or 1w and settling on the silk. Either way, city2 takes the plains hill, so my capital can work commerce and it can do production.
In which case fishing is completely useless as a starting tech.

I've got to stew on this a while.

I'll keep San Martin, just because I've never played him before.

Reroll Japan please.

Moved east, settled on the dry hill. From demos appears most everyone else is doing similar.
WB first, scout went west and west.
