They didn't even bother to add "2". The developer is Muha Games, but don't get exited - this seems like a "lets get a quick buck" project for them. Screenshots look very generic, which is the worst. 64 bit OS requirement suggests something like Unity.
As usual with a bad prediction, I'll be happy to be wrong.

I don't know, I'm pretty excited about this. It looks like the gameplay is very similar to the original, and as they say, "Master of Magic is an extremely faithful reboot of the original game, with identical gameplay mechanics and the same, overwhelming amount of content, which allowed for endless replayability."

We've lived with crummy graphics for all these years, so I don't really mind appearance issues.

I just hope it's not a Windows exclusive.

Kind of surprised this is the only thread here talking about the new official remake lol!

After 25 years of nothing it really is an amazing time for us diehard Master of Magic fans! There I was a few months ago getting excited about Seravy’s new Caster of Magic 2 for Windows release and then this gets announced. And yeah I'm not 100% sold on the screenshots, while the cartoonish intro with a rather feminine looking Tauron feels like a step backwards but I'm still excited..

MuHa appear to be doing monthly (or at least trying to do monthly lol) developer diaries for the official Master of Magic remake... looks pretty good although some of the Wizard redesigns are not as good plus everything seems a bit bland and lacking colour compared to the original.

Everything looks SO generic and uninspired that I tend to agree with TS: it will most probably be yet another shameless money-grab from Slitherine. After the surrender of Serawy I'm more excited for drake178's endeavours.
