The 24 damage first strike limit change is massive for high elves

I came back to check the changes since I last played and high elves cavalry buffing strategy is much more viable. Ultra elite high elf cavalry with flame blade holy weapon and discipline can reliably one shot phantom beasts outside of node and has a high chance of one shot inside nodes. With phantom beasts being one of the most attractive targets in early game the 24 damage cap removal is a massive boost. In early game with the first buffed unit you can clear more, this gives earlier resources to expand, or spam longbows to kill flying units or 

So you start with alchemy, warlord, 4 life books, 2 chaos... 

Not sure what should be done with the last 3 pick I see many options. Could be some nature for web. Perhaps warp creature and life drain. Or Runemaster for dispell resist and chance to get chaos channels. Or spellweaver to reduce the cost of buffs. Perhaps channeler for cheaper buff maintainece. Astrologer to cast holy weapon and discipline in nodes may also be useful.

This can give a very good start, perhaps as good as draconian archers or astrologer confusion, but I do not know how to transition to late game on higher difficulty levels.
