[pb74 spoilers] FUNNY IMAGE THREAD
|
this is my spoiler thread. i am not going to 'try hard' this game like i am in pb72. why?
well, just by choosing to play in this big game, i am guaranteed that all the other players have to write a funny and insightful player analysis of me. so basically, i've already won. also to win in a giant PB like this you need both massive luck to break your way in addition to being a micro/macro/spreadsheet god. i think i will just try to aim for maybe winning my island and not dying in the first 100 turns. expect few reports and some photoshopped pictures. i do not think people cared for my book recommendations but they liked the old photoshops i did for that pbem game, right?
I think I mostly disagreed with you a lot on the books and didn't feel inclined to argue about it.
You write good reports, though.

Quote: Greenline is Mao Zedong OR Mansa Musa OR Lincoln of Persia While I don't like replaying the same leaders and EXP seems a little on the weak side, it is hard to turn down PRO and boosted Bazaars. I will probably pick Mao / Persia unless Persia's start techs really don't fit.
If you look at PB59 a lot the late game contenders were financial still.
Also, I will mention living to the late game is a prerequisite to doing well in it.
Yes it was.
So on these large maps / games there are a couple economic engines that can power you that aren't org or fin. - early shrine - early powerful wonder - early kill someone especially if they've done one of the above. - or just manage your economy well. Cornflakes with Boudica in PB63 was GNP lead for a LONG time. Eventually in PB65 Cornflakes got a shrine but most of that game he was owning GNP naturally with cre/phil. Neither big maps but still good economic management. Ignore the fish 2SW, it doesn't exist.
