I can't believe you got people to play a Totestra map with you and you didn't even suggest it!

I mean, I suggested it in email a while back. I'm just delighted Krill bit.
I love how Scooter posted the warning screenshots and every one of us was "HELL YEAH, GIMMIE DRY JUNGLE". Although there's other greats, like "hope you like desert":
And of course there's the Tundra Forests Forever. This is going to be bonkers.

I was pretty sure that was the response I was going to get. But there's a reason they make you sign a waiver before you jump out of an airplane.

Wonderful, my start is in the Totestra Forest Belt.
This is a great core to base on, need a cottage on every tile.
No luxuries detected, but Monarchy can be the first tech and Inca's underrated advantage is that her warriors are still available until maces.

That's a better start than I've had in the last 3 handcrafted maps I've played here.

Scooter, I am okay with your solution but are terraces discounted in RTR as well? If so I guess just get rid of the worker number two and replace it with a couple scouts per the house rule.

Oh, I'm FDR of Inca by the way.
Very nice leader for a Classical Era start, going to have a lot of call for cheap lighthouses, courthouses, and forges, plus a ton of juicy wonders available. The Inca thing is less of a big deal but given I rolled a no-happy zone, the cheap MP are solid.

Yeah I'll be honest I have no idea what RtR's changelog is. If you want to double check you have time, otherwise if that puts you "over" I'll go with your listed backup plan.

For my reference:
Quote:Commodore: Roosevelt of Inca
Pindicator: Mao of Mongolia
Yuris: San Martin of HRE
Thoth: Pacal of France
Krill: Victoria of Korea
Analysis is later, but changes in RtR 6:
IND has no Pyramids bonus, +35% on banks/university, and -15% on civic maint.
Mao is +10% on workers and +35% on WB from base, plus Market/Aqueduct/Grocer/Harbor bonuses.
San Martin is nice, +2 happy, +2 culture, +70% on libraries, +35% on observatories.
FIN is +1 on nonriver tiles, so solid for most toasts. My start less so. +100% banks, +35% library/market
Inca is weird, terrace are fresh water source (my corn gets irrigated), -15% city maint, NERFED
Mongols is great with Ger’s +1 culture, Archery access, +100% production with horse, BUFFED
HRE is just longbows with +50% vs horses, mild buff
France is nearly the same.
Korea gets Seowons with better cost and catapults that can kill, mild buff.
