Race to the Unknown - Has anyone played this game mode?

I didn't pay much attention to it until a streamer accidentally selected it for their playthrough, but having tried it, I think it's a lot of fun, and breathes a lot of fresh air into the game. Making the second plane "free real estate" incentivizes a degree of exploration and expansion in ways that feel exciting rather than tedious, especially since it weakens both the tower guards and their treasure, making alternative playstyles besides treasure hunting more appealing.

I've never done it, but what does it do exactly? Make everyone start on Arcanus? In the original since there were only 4 wizards, that was the sort of thing that happened (although the higher the difficulty the less it happened right?)

It forces all wizards to start in the same plane as you, and halves the guard strength of all towers, thereby making the other plane a land of vast opportunity and incentivizing everyone to rush for it.

I think I misclicked on it in the past because it is (or used to be) right next to the ok button, I remember all the other wizards also went to myrror very quickly at the time and plane shift was available very quickly to everyone.

Interesting. With all 14 wizards on a small map that'd be quite explosive I imagine lol.
