...our motherland. Sure, I've read this message on the city screen before. But now to that message in a quite hilarious way... Can anyone tell me what's going on here ?



Actually I did not capture this city but I'm playing as Egypt. The city has been in my possession since its founding. The chinese culture doesn't get a hold on the cities fat cross [Edit: I just saw that the tile in the upmost right corner is actually chinese. Is that then the reason for this ?]. Why the hell I have 15% chinese popoulation in there then, causing that yearning ? All that this city and its citizens ever has been is Egypt...

Any suggestions ?

That is definitely the Chinese culture pushing in. If you looked at the cultural overlay, you'll see some mixed culture tiles. It's also why your population is mixed in the city instead of 100% Egyptian.
