Speaking as a relative novice and a cat making his first post, I'm appreciative of a vanilla run like this.

The Immortal/Diety games look fun and all, but I like playing a bit longer than 20 turns before the opposing hordes invade and kill my people in their sleep.

If you haven't played Ice Age before, though, it's not -quite- bland vanilla. More like vanilla with fudge sauce or cherry vanilla, or the vanilla that comes with apple pie a la mode.

This may just be my first attempt at an RB game. I'm doing fairly well with Noble in Warlorlds (although, I have yet to see a game all the way through, it's no fun once you've stomped your opponents to the stone age for some reason). My main weaknesses so far are my overly-builder tendencies and inability to actually declare war before 1500AD.

And I like Ice Age maps. I like all the weird maps, actually, so this should be fun. Just have to remember where I stuck my normal Civ IV CD now. o_o

And for an Ice Age map, that start looks like heaven!
